I believe the reason those in charge hate wonderful President Trump so much is that he DOES want to do things. Our pols, CEOs, and other influential people are largely involved in serving THEIR OWN interests. They don't want anyone changing what works for THEM. Trump loves the USA and implemented solutions that these elites didn't like: Securing the border, not green-lighting the war machine, tariffs to even the playing field as they "think globally," etc. Even the corporate media protects the rotted status quo with their grotesquely slanted coverage/propaganda.
