Great video, Man! I think the Zoom Podtrak P4 added to the mix would be a stellar mobile video podcasting rig. I'm gonna give it a go and see how it works out.
What type of phone? You would need to use usb for power from a phone or the Osmo. If you go into a different device from the mic you can record good audio that way.
Yeah, it’s really versatile. There’s a lot of things you can do to fit any set up. Honestly technology has come so far in the last 15 years it really is hard to believe sometimes.
So it’s for both solo and for interview podcasting. The way you record would be slightly different if you only have one osmo pocket 3. I am making a video for the setup this week.
Are you looking for anything in particular for your portable set up? I have several different options that I am going to be reviewing for travel. Are you doing a video podcast or just audio? Do you already have microphone options? I am reviewing a few different types of microphones and camera options depending on how you want your set up to be and how professional you want your production. In the next video I’ll be including lights as well as the types of stands that you can bring for any conditions.
@@FollowMrFORD hey ford, thanks for getting back to me, I would say video podcast setup, I have the DJI pocket 3 as wel as the Shure mv7 mic too, I was hoping for options for a two person podcast setup with the DJI pocket 3. Is it possible to hook up two DJI mics to the pocket 3 or two shure mv7s?
So you can connect to Mike’s with a splitter cable. It will only play the audio from one microphone, but you can use the headphone jack from the second microphone to record directly to an audio recorder. I think the DJI Osmo pocket is the only USB-C device that powers both at the same time. A cellphone can’t do that.
Ayyyyyy you beat me to it I’m working on a portable podcast video with the DJI action 4 and usb mic setup Good stuff, great video and setup suggestion!
@@FollowMrFORD so far I love it. I had the pocket 2 and liked it but also kinda wanted something with less moving parts and pocketable since I don’t need the gimble aspect and the action 4 fits the bill
Could have saved money and used the lav mic by DJI plugged into the Dji mic 2. All of which can fit in your pocket. You don't like a small mic on your shirt but perfer a big mic in front of your mouth... interesting. I only use my Mv7 with my OP3 when i dj live on stream.
Well, I already had the Shure Mics, they were a part of a studio setup. I travel and interview more and the quality of the lav sound really wasn’t the same. They are a great solution in non interview in the field shoots or vlog style talking head.
Yeah, if you listen to the audio from first scene when I’m outside, I am wearing the DJI microphone and there is a lot of ambient noise compared to the MV seven. The directional mic also has a lot fuller sound.
@FollowMrFORD yea. I've got the pocket 3 creator combo. I'm also in houston. If u can guide me on how to use the shure mv7 to the get quality sounds like the one in your post. I'd be really glad.
Thank you. I appreciate it. It depends on what the project is. All of the videos posted so far were graded in Premiere Pro, no plug-ins. I just find my favorite clip once I've laid out my timeline, add an adjustment layer over it, pick a lot that gets me close to a look I like, tweak the look on the adjustment layer then extend it across the timeline. If anything needs to be adjusted I just adjust it on the clip to get everything to match.
Thanks! I have been bouncing back and forth with my Sony cameras and the BM. I honestly love both for different reasons. I'm primarily a photographer so I love being able to shoot photo and video at the same time but the image out of the BM....😭 it's hard not to love what you can do with the footage.
