I have got 6 kg Mill City Roaster machine from someone. I’ve seen he has to use a grease to lubricate the drum like every hour when he was roasting coffee and I think this is what the information I’m looking for. I think the gap is too close in my case. Thank you for your video.
@MillCityRoastersMN
@MillCityRoastersMN 16 часов назад
That sounds like something is very wrong and totally unrelated to the need for lubrication. Email support@millcityroasters.com for help.

Ya’ll have helped me so much with these videos you don’t even know. 🙏 If I’m getting some off flavor with my batch brew water, how do you clean the internal water reservoir? Is running some urnex cleaner through the machine okay? The manufacturer’s manual is no help here. Thank you!
@MillCityRoastersMN
@MillCityRoastersMN 9 дней назад
For commercial machines, install a good 3-stage in-line water filter and flush out the reservoir.

Dude that impeller is a nightmare to remove. I've soaked in penetrating oil, heat up, beat on it, used every gear puller i can get my hands on. Ive experienced similar with aluminum wheels seizing on steel rotors. Is there anything you guys can do on initial assembly to prevent this? Or engineer a way to push it off with a bilt in the backside? Ive finally given up in getting it a part and i have a fairly extensive work shop and work on cars for a hobby. Its not my first rodeo. @millcityroasters

Apparently the decaffeination process not only removes caffeine, but also - a compound responsible for SURFACE TENSION, which allows your creamer to float on the surface of the drink. WHICH decaffeination process preserves this compound?
@MillCityRoastersMN
@MillCityRoastersMN 26 дней назад
Are you thinking cream or powdered creamer? We've literally never used powdered creamer, but cream and whole milk emulsify readily in all of our decaf coffees.

where the oil come from? coming from seeds itself or created by roasting process?
@MillCityRoastersMN
@MillCityRoastersMN 29 дней назад
Oil gets pushed from the center of the seed to the surface as the temperature rises.

I use a 1kg size particle dispenser for our small roasting business, and I agree, - dispensers are, well, indispensable! Ours has significantly sped up our process. Our quality checks every several bags are all consistent. Your grinder setup looks great, and I had not seen the style of sealing machine you're using. Thanks for the show and tell, it's very helpful!

I can't thank you enough. I'm a home roaster and caffeine makes my blood pressure spike. Since I started drinking decaf in no longer like the feeling of being caffeinated but I still love coffee. Your videos are very helpful.

With naturals needing a more gentle approach to heat does that also mean you normally want to charge at a lower temperature?

Not very. Look at the roast profile in the description. He got pretty close to second crack in about 3 minutes of post first crack development time and finished in less than 12 minutes. All of our roasters have a lot of power on tap.

The statement you made during the light and medium roasts about preferring the roasted beans to have a more swollen appearance and less dark lines (sometimes referred to as wrinkles) would indicate a more roasted inner part of the bean, was a very thought-provoking statement. It made perfect sense.

Same for cooling tray fan motor?
@MillCityRoastersMN
@MillCityRoastersMN 3 месяца назад
Probably not. The cooling exhaust is not hot like the roaster exhaust. Plus, in the intervening years, we've made some changes that are likely to eliminate the need to service the motor bearings.

Nice roaster, would love one of those in my shop. a little out of reach now ,but oh yes, it will be mine . thinking, roasting coffee is ALL heading in that direction, using cleaner energy. I am looking forward to seeing what my Coffee Crafter 3-e will do with my solar array. Wish it was a Mill City electric roaster. Someday. I have a 500 gram Mill City since 2017 ,that I cant say enough about, my little work horse. Dollar for dollar , one of the best out there..

I have a Mill City 3-kilo. If I take the airflow past 50 percent, the beans shoot right out of exhaust. Ideas?
@MillCityRoastersMN
@MillCityRoastersMN 4 месяца назад
Thats a big fan for a relatively small roaster and we typically use no more than 1/3 the capacity. Is there some reason you think you should be running higher airflow?
