Read the book and it was so good it truly captured the stagnation and warn down society of the imperium from the transendent society humanity used to be to this ignoramus the AI refused to accept as its creator, it was funny too with the AI calling an admech a 'witch doctor' using scented oil to start ships and guns that sounds stupid to us imagine an Ai which saw humanity as almost being trancendent fall to this
If a space marine from the heresy can be alive 10,000 years later under the conditions Gravius was forced to endure. Imagine the possibility of other loyalist space marines from the heresy still out there.
If you read the book Fabius had to do away with clonegrim because he knew he would mess up his plan about the new men. Fabius wanted a new race of man that's stronger and smarter but knew if Fulgrim was around then they would devote themselves to him which would lead to the eventual downfall of the new men much like the 3rd legion
As someone who knows nothing about Warhammer 40k (I only even know what this is from because I read the hashtags) this is absolutely Greek to me. This is like the weirdest 60 seconds of English words I've ever heard jammed together.
Minor correction: The book should have been "Death of Integrity", I read both books in quick succession for this short so I accidentally mixed up the names My bad
'What shall I not tell them? Who are you to tell such as I what to do and what not to do? Once I gladly called your kind “master”, but look how far you have fallen!’ It was full of scorn. ‘Your ancestors bestrode the universe, and what are you? A witch doctor, mumbling cantrips and casting scented oils at mighty works you have no conception of. You are an ignoramus, a nothing. You are no longer worthy of the name “man”. You look at the science and artistry of your forebears, and you fear it as primitives fear the night. I was there when mankind stood upon the brink of transcendence! I returned to find it sunk into senility. You disgust me.’
I wonder if this was done to parallel Angrons last stand on Nuceria against the high riders. Showing that, despite being his most hated sons the librarians were actually his truest ones.
And in the end it was almost entirely the fault of AI that mankind fell so low. Even with time travel the AI it seems gave up because they certainly aren't sending more ships, while humanity fights on.
That ship AI has no right to say anything about mankind's state, for it's very existence is one of the major reasons why humanity is as cooked as it is.
So… essentially you could stop the curse by having a friend of the guy who killed Lucius execute him. Clearly the friend wouldn’t be happy with his choice, he’d probably be sad if anything. But slaneesh would probably just bring him back anyways… eh
Hopefully the bring back some dark age of technology war ships trapped in the warp to emerge and after finding out the present standing of humanity begin creating a new faction of humanity which has dark age of technology superior weaponry and on the rise capable of leveling any space marine chapter that would approach
Wait a minute, that's the cover of the book? Why does the Space Marine has more presence than the Avenging Son himself!? (Rhetorical question, I know why.)
