FESTIVAL MOZART - WATERLOO INTERNATIONAL CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL Waterloo (BE) - Nagakute (JP)
Depuis 1996, le festival propose chaque année une dizaine de concerts donnés par des musiciens internationaux restants à résidence à Waterloo. Mozart est le compositeur le plus joué avec des soirées uniquement dédiée au maître autrichien, ou côtoyant, lors de soirées thématiques, des compositeurs de tout horizon. En 2023, le festival a donné sa première édition au Japon à Nagakute, ville jumelle de Waterloo, sous l'appellation Waterloo Chamber Music Festival.
The festival takes place every year since 1996 at the end of September. Each time, a dozen concerts are given by a team of international musicians staying in residence in Waterloo during the entire festival. Mozart is the most performed composer with evening dedicated only to his music, or performed during thematic evenings together with composers. In 2023, the festival gave its 1st edition in Waterloo twin city Nagakute in Japan.

Welche Freude : ich habe dieses Konzert im Jahr 1956 mit jungen Jahren in Salzburg im Mozarteum im sog. "MOZART-JAHR"= 200 Jahre nach Mozarts Geburt auch gespielt !!!! Nun lebe ich im Altersheim und fühle mich zurückversrtzt in meine Jugend....! 2023---!

Quel beau souvenir ! Il y a bientôt presque 5 ans ... C'était le 20 septembre 2013, dans la musicale église de Glabais. Y rencontrer Laura Mikkola la Finlandaise, Marie Hallynck la Belge et Alissa Margulis la Germano-Russe, jouant ensemble, relevait somme toute du miracle ! Et cela en fut un sur le plan musical ainsi que sur le plan humain. Il y a des jours qui marquent l'histoire, la nôtre. Ce fut en tout cas pour moi. Merci à elles, au Festival Mozart, et à Anne-Marie de Glabais.
Could someone point me to a score which has the 1st movement piano embellishment that starts at 6 minutes (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-68dSPa-Wdr4.html). I have several scores including the Barenreiter chamber version, and have checked IMSLP and it's not in any version. I don't think it's improvised as I've heard the same notes played in other performances. I'm playing this with a string quartet and thought I might include it if I can get the music. (BTW- I love this performance! Assuming the bass is duplicating the cello. It adds a lot to the sound.)
Brilliant performance! Do I miss the woodwinds and the brass? Yes, but then this string quintet version actually highlights the beauty of the orchestration. The pianist's reading is so eloquent and full of grace. K414 IS an exemplary composition of happiness and divine grace.
Ce fut ma première rencontre avec Tatiana. Elle souffrait encore des suites d'un terrible accident de voiture. J'ai découvert alors une femme très courageuse ...., mais aussi une magicienne du violon ! Au plaisir de t'entendre jouer, et jouer encore !
