I'm curious, why bring in large stone just to crush it into base on-site? Wouldn't it be cheaper to just have it crushed at the quarry?

I don't see this at all efficient. It doesn't cut short enough and most of the material is left in the field.

for wood that's already down, it should be equipped with a pick-up roller in the front, like plantation mulchers have for picking up prunings of all sizes. Because i guess that this FAE biomass harvester isn't cheap... It is well build, and strong, but not yet perfect...

How long you been operating that FAE mulcher .. Cut on the flap side and move towards the flap side in motion as i found it cuts better and mulchers better but if you run it the other way try to close flap to stop particals flyin every where .. if im doin sapplings i leave the flat just about closed ...Not tryin to upset your way...
