Back in the 80s in the Australian Army we had Alice the Brits had PLCE. And 58 pattern to lol. So we used to source their NBC roll for tarp a few sandbags. Later as a hiker I do tarp cheap tarp groundsheet. And a 2nd one as well holds my air matress and bivi bag. So it's a sea to summit and serves the role of keeping cold out of me too. Anyway I see you have the Jay Jay's very nice kit and your top poncho pouch. Maybe consider a second one or make something up out of an old pants leg. The Brit belt is nice slimline. I've tried it but it just holds less in my experience. I think that 2nd roll or tarp pouch would serve you well. Even if its just foe some merino long john's or a light fleece. Cordage is great. But look at jungle nots. Takes a lot less room quicker to put up. Tiny pouches flat a Lil over an inch square sew them up out of old clothing. I think it's a good idea to carry a Dixie set on your belt with a meal in it a fee coffee tea whatever floats your boat. Or perhaps even a Dixie set with some of your electrical in it to protect them some. I'm old school we didn't have water filters so lean towards being able to boil water as well love a hot drink tea coffee not fussed hot and wet will do. But very nice kit. I've had a tailored harness Web set before and if your using it often it's well worth it. As you are multicam, a British gsr gas mask case. Same sizish as a Alice butt pack. Carry strap molle back. I molle mine onto a 45lt pack. The great advantage is the pack now sits on its gotten and doesn't fall over easy access and nothing worse than your back and straps side of pack falling over in mud . Yep, Uncle Sugar is not bringing trucks in or air drops. Also, load sharing is not likely a thing, most groups are a buddy team at best, alone at worst.
Unfortunately, no. I’m group-less but figure some will see the value of a MAG when the balloon goes up and this will provide comms which without comms you really can’t help each other much.

I’m hoping Crossfire sells their magazine pouches they make for the “DZ Rig” as I hate Velcro like the Jay Jays uses and I have the Chameleon setup so I can swap those out if they come available. Your usage of the bum roll is smart. I bought mine in hopes it would fit a Helikon Tex swagman but not luck, so it sits in a box. Gonna try a Molle II buttpack as a bum roll for the Swagman. If that doesn’t work, I’ll admit defeat and just pack the Jay Jays one similarly to what you did. Awesome kit man!
If the DZ had existed last year, I would have bought it for sure, great value for the money. I don't mind the velcro on the mags as I'm not getting into them until shots are fired.
@@PNWminuteman Good point on the Velcro. I’m most concerned on mud/snow clogging it up. I may have went with the Diz Rig as well but I actually have grow to love the 2 rear utility pouches vs a buttpack so I think the Jay Jays will stick around for me. It’s awesome that companies are coming out with new stuff though, for sure.
I was encouraged to go the Chameleon route but they are out and I figured the Brits had is zeroed in with the 4 pouch setup and commanders pouch. So far I have not regretted it. If you get a chance, try the patrol yoke, it's a whole other feeling.
