So if the remote is getting installed to electrical power why does it require a battery to operate as well? I noticed we go through batteries like crazy because when we turn the remote OFF it turns the fan off. So we have to leave the remote in the 'ON' position all day. Being that the remote is installed into the wall it takes away the purpose of a remote, too. This is a terrible design.
I have 3 Smart By Bond Fans and i'm really happy that Craftmade is embracing the platform. I'll probably end up with a few Craftmade fan additions to the home as I like the general style of Craftmade's fans.

I went yo Lowes to buy a different hanging bracket. The Harbor Breeze Hanging Bracket Kit worked fine. Make sure to add the green-grounding wire and you will be using the two skinny phillip-head screws. Just make sure they fit the new bracket before attaching bracket to junction box. FYI, I forgot to add the two screws and now I have to take the ceiling off bracket and screw the two screws into the mount
