Just went with my Girlfriend last night to see The "Pretty Woman" musical and we really didn't have any idea of what to expect. We both like the move, obviously, and I have to say it was everything I could have hoped for and more! The performers were absolutely incredible, their voices soaring and their dance moves electrifying. The lead actors had undeniable chemistry, and the entire cast brought the iconic story to life with passion and energy. The music was just as fantastic, the costumes, sets, and choreography were top-notch, creating a feast for the eyes. The theater's atmosphere only added to the magical experience. I left the Orpheum Theater with a huge smile on my face and a heart full of joy. This was great night of entertainment. If you're looking for a dazzling night out, don't miss "Pretty Woman: The Musical" it's pretty awesome!

Saw it live recently. People were leaving the theater for one reason or another. One even remarked "It's so bad". I am not kidding. I kind of agree with them there. If you think about it it's offensive to women, and I am not even a woman. "Here comes the man again to save the day and make my dreams come true!". Right. That is the plot. "Oh the people at the stores with my unlimited credit card were being mean to me!" "That's it, I'm taking the day off for you honey. We're going shopping. And I will demand they treat you right because we're going to be spending a LOT of money!" Then she finally marches out victorious with all of this materialistic crap she couldn't have afforded on her own, and more importantly that she didn't feel comfortable buying to begin with. This musical on an underlying level reeks of misogyny. And at worst it teaches women that men not only can be, but should be, their saviors. It really was bad.
You know this was a movie before a musical, right? “Teaches women…” let’s be so real, it’s a silly little story that’s based off of wish fulfillment, mushy romance, and fantasy. I am a sucker for these types of films but by no means want to experience them for myself😭 + there’s several stories much much worst than pretty woman that you can complain about lmao. Maybe just let us women enjoy our silly little romcoms 😭😭
@@miaperez8535 .... yeah I know it was a movie before a musical. That's not a secret to most people I would imagine. I understand on some level it's a fantasy for some women, probably more than they'd like to admit, but the overarching premise is that in a woman's wildest fantasies she'll meet an incredibly perfect yet somehow single, lonely, rich man who will rescue them from the world in ways they could never do themselves. Beyond that, I would argue the movie wasn't even THAT great so to turn it into a musical in the first place is still a mystery to me, the same way they made a biopic about Motley Crue. Like, why?
@@voteZDLR I mentioned the film cause the way you worded your comment made it seem like it was a brand new concept. Because idk, if you already knew about the film and didn’t like the concept, I don’t understand why you’d want to go see the musical… Also, because it’s silly and fun, that’s why. Lol, like no one takes the movie seriously or think it’s real hence why I call it fantasy. It’s fiction, it doesn’t have to be something deep and thought provoking or realistic. It’s just entertainment. You’re of course entitled to your own opinion and don’t have to like the film nor musical but I just think it’s a little silly to speak this way about a dumb little romcom that people enjoy.
@@miaperez8535 no I went to see the musical because I have season tickets to musicals in my area, and I don't ever miss them. not a single one. Regardless of what they are. I don't hate it I just noticed how people got offended, specifically women, around me. After intermission a lot of them had left, I stayed though. I didn't hate it, it was OK. Where I will disagree though, some dudes with money really are simps who might fall in love with prostitutes and give them the world. It is perhaps more real than you realize.
