i am in the process of doing it so came up over your video, unfortunately you're not showing the most important thing which is removing the passenger valve cover, that is the most important stuff...so to whomever is doing this, have a lot of patience and this is what worked for me: move to the left side the fuel ramp(take it out with the injectors attached), loosen the hook which is being used to lift the motor(in order to have access to the nut loosen the egr pipes bracket which is located right in the middle of the V between the air intakes and then push backwards those pipes to gain access to the nut that holds the hook,) it is situated on the right side back corner of the valve cover, loosen the egr bracket - here i only loosened one bolt and then pushed it back like 2mm, i put a screwdriver between the head and the bracket, and finally bent the coolant pipe by pushing it away from the motor. The coolant pipe has 2 screws, 6 mm allen screws, remove only the one in the middle, do not remove the one at the back(it is anyway pretty impossible) but the one in the back will keep it fixed and you need that because when you bent it you don't want it to get bent from the joint behind the head but from the point where that screw keeps it in place. Will let you know how putting it back is gonna go! Good luck!
Hi, I am thinking of getting an Audi A4 B6 myself as my first car, would you recommend it? so far into my research the reviews are mixed and I am unsure if I would be able to maintain it.
I know this was a long time ago but do know the part number for the 2 small L- brackets you installed on the left and right side? Great video and nice car.
How did you put back the passenger valve cover? Mine hits against the egr and the chain tensioner. It was really hard to remove the valve cover but it's almost impossible to put it back.
I still get a code after following your steps, this happens when I wait to start. You’re saying disconnect wires, and don’t wait to start to not get codes/check engine light?
Just got done doing mine. 100% worth it. I was having a clunk in the rear every time on throttle/ shifting into the next gear. That loud thump went away.
When you first turn the key, the low oil pressure light comes on (red light). If you start the truck right away, will that be bad for the engine when there's no oil pressure yet?
