Hi there! Welcome to Statistics and Theory, a RU-vid channel dedicated to promoting and propagating anything scientific about language in general and quantitative and assessment methods in particular.

You will find a range of videos on topics such as language comprehension, language production, quantitative techniques, and language testing methods that will be of interest to the general public and/or specialists.

In addition, there are three types of memberships available. Through your membership, you will support the channel and have a better chance to discuss your research questions, study design, and publication questions with us.

As always, please free to contact me if you have any questions :-)

Best wishes,
Vahid Aryadoust

Thanks so much for this. One thing I got a bit lost on is that you talk about the differences of some of the parameters, but you don't always go into the meaning of that parameter. Still, I appreciate your efforts and clarity.

If there were control and experiment groups, should we perform normality tests for parameters one in the control and one in the experiment? If so, that parameter is normally distributed in control and in experiment then can we say it's normally distributed? Or else we should also check if it is normally distributed in general?

Hi, thank you for your video. I have one question about running the T-test after Clustering. Should we consider the normality of the data when running a T-test with generated clusters? Is it important to check if all the data is normally distributed?

14:01 hello , when I try to run the analysis, pops out “the variable , YXQ3 , is represented by a rectangle in the path diagram, but it is not an observed variable”. What can I do about that? Thank you for the answer in advance ❤ have a nice day 😊

You still haven't told me how to find the how to get standard deviation The given is 95% I found my mean was 8 (n -1) which is 7. I subtracted my mean from each person and then squared them after that I Added all the squared together now what? Help!!!

Dr. Aryadoust, Thank you for the great videos. I want to ask about the variance explained by Rasch and the Variance by residuals. I can see that your analysis shows a 71% of variance by residuals. Should this be an issue? I will be analyzing a speaking test where the data is not dichotomous. Let me know your thoughts about this.

Great one indeed. Have one important question. The fit indices shown here, are they structural model fit? Or measurement model fit? I am under the impression that these are probably the structural model fit. If that is the case, then where can I get the measurement model fit indices? Thank you in advance.

Thanks dear Dr. Vahid, I have learned a lot from you. I have a question: in my model, I have two categorical independent variables (groups and time) each with two levels and one continuous covariate (anxiety as a predictor). I followed the same procedure you explained. The point is that anxiety*groups*time is significant, but no postdoc (apart from plots) is generated. How can I know where the difference lies (for instance, whether the slopes [anxiety and dependent variable] of groups significantly differ in time 1 or whether the slopes of groups significantly differ in time 2). Thanks in advance.
