We all need some time-out to make room for self improvement, better living, health, adventures and friendships.. Life is too short to let it slip by. So start now and just do it. Be it about gadgets, videography, motorcycling, stories of my travels, or just my fascination with all that nature and life has to offer, this channel is about exploring and trying new things and sharing it with others and I hope it gets you inspired to do something you've always wanted to do.
Congrats bro...wanna ask you something, are there any gs bike training academy here in kl or selangor cos im a newbie to gs bike. Maybe i can get proper training from qualified bmw gs instructor. Or maybe you can conduct yourself since you're one of the gs trophy contestant...
Apparently the current crop of drones has been dumbed-down after the lawyers got hold of it. Thanks for the video, I too am going to be motorcycling (across Australia) in 2024 and I’ve been looking for a drone with “ACTIVE TRACKING!” Thanks from Canada.
Dumbed down? No more tracking? Thanks for leaving a message. I'm excited for your motorcycling trip to Australia. I can imagine the beautiful scenery the Skydio can capture in the outback
Hi Alan, I am a BMW GS bike owner and would like to buy the Skydio 2+ with upgraded sport package to shoot my bike touring activity like you. May I know if this drone is a better choice than DJI? Thank you 😊
Definitely better than DJI in terms of follow me capabilities. You can watch some of my test and touring videos. They were shot without any of my inputs whatsoever
That was a fun ride along!! I just got my GS a couple weeks ago and I'm still breaking it in and getting used to it, after 20 years on a GoldWing. Looking forward to upgrading the tires and getting offroad as well. Nice editing with the music and bike sounds btw!!
@@swteng73 Thank for the info. I already ordered skydio 2+ cinema & now awaiting for the delivery. May I know what is the condition of ur drone after falling that day?
I'm curious what riding gear you are using? I realize you're just beginning your offroad adventures, as will I when I receive my GS in a few weeks. So many options out there, so I'm asking everyone what they use....LOL
I use TLD elbow and knee guards from my downhill MTB gear. Good enough for my current riding level which is not too aggressive. For boots I use Sidi Adventure 2 as I wanted to start with something with sufficient protection but comfortable to walk around in. For my helmet, I started with Arai TX4 but since preferred to use an Airoh Aviator 3 with goggles.
That was what I was also trying to decide on before buying. My observation was the GSA felt more plush and stable when riding over undulating roads compared to the GS which seemed to bounce more. Even during cornering I felt more planted and confident with the GSA. I guess its a result of being heavier. I decided on the GS eventually because I know I personally would prefer the lighter GS when going off road
Very cool video!!!! Was the drone recording the audio as well??? It seems like at the start of your video your commentary was coming from your helmet mic.....is the drone recording that??? If yes, that is really incredible for vlogging while you ride.
Leave the SkyDio2 off and connect the phone to the beacon. Then turn on the skydio2 and connect it to the beacon. That way the beacon can be used AND the app can be used, but your phone is using the beacon as a signal booster. Oh, and NEVER force a launch before the drones GPS is synced. This set up also speeds up the GPS sync. If not synced, your drone will fly all crazy as it uses bad data to try to find you. And when set to follow, if you are not moving, it will slowly circle you at the distance it was when you set follow. So if it is 15ft in the air and 30ft away, it's going to try to circle you at that distance and height and have to deal with any obstacles it runs into. If you are in a crowded area, it can get itself into some bad situations if not watched, because the moment you start moving, it will try to get to where it is to follow from and may be in a mess trying to do that. So I always put it where I want it following from BEFORE I set follow, and then, just as a want to start moving, I set follow.
