I drill a lot. 6in is the way to go since it save SOOO much on batteries! An 8in hole remove 50% more ice than a 6in one… That’s huge. And yes, even big fish fit in a 6in hole, only the chances of loosing it at the hole are bigger… If I was not drilling 50-100 holes per outing, 8in is the way to go for sure. PS: I hate 10in holes! A boot fit in them! Really annoying and almost dangerous…
