What a great video! I personally have a love-hate relationship with this game. On one hand it's not only a remake of my favorite pokemon games, it's also the game that got me into shiny hunting (I got a shiny Chimchar on my nuzlocke run and a shiny and a shiny Gastly while ev training my Raichu). On the other hand it's Brilliant Diamond/Shinning Pearl
Thank you so much! 😄 I feel like we’re of a similar mindset when it comes to BDSP 😂 There are good parts to it, like the increased Gym/Elite 4/Champion difficulty, but man it’s almost ‘too’ faithful to DP, even on the most simple of levels - I still cannot believe that Mindy who’ll trade you the Haunter with an Everstone wasn’t changed so that it doesn’t have one in this game, as one example of many 🤦🏼♂️ Congrats on both of those shinies, they’re really cool to have especially for a Nuzlocke! damn only 99 resets for a shiny starter? that really is lucky don't think I've ever gotten a shiny starter in any Pokemon game I played (Black, Black 2, X, Alpha Saphire, Moon, Violet) despite probably starting over 100 runs in total lol
Yeah Cassian was a really special find 🍀😅 I’m the exact same dude, I’ve been playing since I was 6 years old and I’m now 29, and I’ve never found a shiny starter until now 🤯 I think it mainly comes down to just dedicating that time to specifically finding it - I played through all of PLA without finding a single shiny, and then found like 16 when I did my shiny challenge, still finishing with a reasonable playtime of 52 hours total 😅

It’s speculated that Game Freak didn’t put the shiny sound in SV because in a lot of areas Pokemon are capable of spawning outside of the playable area. Meaning Pokémon spawn inside of the mountains, in the walls of the great crater, ect…
That makes a tonne of sense actually, thanks for sharing that! If true, it really does just go to show how flawed SV is, it’s like the vision is there but it just doesn’t quite work in practise. I hope they work the bugs out and give us a much better and improved version for the next Legends game!
I still haven’t found a shiny in mainline games. Only spinoff games aka Pokémon go. I’ve been playing Pokémon for years. Only Pokémon game mainline I’ve played was platinum and a bunch of different roms. Never. I have never gotten one

Thanks, and thanks for watching another video too 😄 I was for sure lucky with the full odds finds, but I did spend a tonne of time roaming around looking for shinies! Sure! Although, I’m not so much of an expert myself 😅 If you want tips for Legends Arceus, I’d say to make good use of the throwable items which stun Pokémon, as they REALLY help with catching shinies, take your time when trying to catch one so that you don’t faint or lose it, and see if you can complete the Pokédex to obtain the shiny charm, as that’ll really help you find more of the full odds ones 😊

You’d be surprised how many more you find when you’re actually looking for them by using the mass outbreaks etc. - I’ve played Legends Arceus main story before I made this video and in my 70 odd hours I didn’t find a single shiny, but it’s because I wasn’t really looking for them 😅 Sure, I saw a lot of Pokémon, but compared to this video where I visited hundreds of mass outbreaks, it’s just not comparable - good luck with finding some more in the postgame 😎
In regards to battling Volo, Ursaluna with bulldoze and play rough can solo the majority of his team and Giratina. Togekiss is the only sticking point but Zisu can teach Ursaluna thunder and ice punch so your good on that one too. I soloed Volo with an alpha Ursaluna that I nicknamed Ursa Major, I was quite surprised at how vulnerable to fairy and ground type physical moves Volo's team was.
That’s awesome! I kinda just didn’t want to use Ursaluna for the end of the challenge, and I’m glad that I didn’t given what you’ve mentioned here because it made the Volo fight more fun for me personally 😄
@@ThisIsTheWayfarer To be honest I just wanted to point this out so people who have difficulty with how Cynthia like Volo's team is could have an easier time if needed. I took a six Pokémon but only ended up using Ursa Major, the First member of my party the whole battle. It left me quite gobsmacked that my raw from evolution bear literally destroyed the 'Hardest boss' of legends Arceus without taking much damage at all. Volo's obsession with the mastery style of moves seemed to be his downfall in my experience. Giratina trying to shadow claw and shadow force a normal type was funny too, in fact it took Giratina it's second phase for it to bother using aura sphere. So two play roughs in both phases put an end to Giratina's rampage.
I know im late for the giveaway but I'm still gonna say a story about my first shiny from SV. You always go down into area Zero to fight Turo or Sada myself i had the game for about 3 days at that point after it had instantly launched so i was hoping for shiny sounds so i never really paid attention but i had gotten lost in area zero looking around trying to find the right path to get down and in front of me a cyan glimmora appeared i was like "Wait Glimmora is purple since i completely stomped Geeta." So i encountered it and have had it ever since same with Torch my shiny Greavard who i got the day after.

I wanted 3 Shiny Pidgey in Lets' Go for the full evolution line. I had a shiny stone and my second Pidgey took 551 Catch Combo! Had the algorithm reccomend this video by the way! Loved it!
I’ll be honest I can’t fully remember, but I feel like it was either a free update for the game, or part of the Camp Cretaceous DLC that you have to purchase in the store. I’m fairly certain it was the DLC but if you have a look at what’s included it’ll tell you.
This video inspired me to start a fresh shiny-only run, really enjoyed all the tips. I find building the catch streak relaxing. But super funny story - I also tried to go for Pidgey first. Got to a streak of 180+ and who is the first shiny to appear? A Rattata, going for as much of a full shiny dex as possible so begrudgingly broke the streak and caught. Got another streak going on Pidgey, somewhere around 150’s…an ✨ Oddish ✨ appears 😂 😂 😂
That’s awesome dude, I love that! Yeah the hilarious thing about the catch combo is that it’s meant to be the best way to find a specific shiny, by boosting the odds of the species you’re catching, BUT, you’re seeing so many spawns on screen that you’re bound to find a few random ones while you’re doing it 😅😭 I think once I’ve finished the BDSP video I’m working on right now, I’m going to do an Eevee let’s go run with full odds and no use of the catch combo. I’m intrigued to see how easy or difficult that’ll be! Good luck with the run dude you’ll have to let me know how it goes!
