Action and excitement to the finish line - across generations!
Only the start- and finish flag from back then have remained unchanged to this day. In everything else, Carrera has been consistently optimizing materials and technology for over 50 years now. This is precisely the reason why this global brand has long since become a young-at-heart classic that combines tradition with innovation. Whether son/daughter, father/mother or grandfather/grandmother - exciting starts, hot drifts and spectacular overtaking are guaranteed here - whether on the car race track or with the RC vehicles. Carrera has long been more than just a toy. Worldwide exclusive licenses in the car racing area, as well as numerous special editions with Mario Kart, Disney / Pixar and brands from the car world make the hearts of young and old beat faster.
Would you like to find out more about our original licenses or take a look into the past? You can find it and more at www.carrera-toys.com!
The guy I see in most of the commentary about this, is he the designer that designed the DR!FT cars from Germany? I suppose this will go to that next, a drifting series kit?
I finally got my dream Carrera track I copied this track and now I have a beautiful digital 1/24 scale oval Carrera track that I can do NASCAR races with me and my buddies and race up to 12 cars at a time and have put stops cautions and even a real pace car which is super cool and have fuel strategy as well
Sturmkind said that it will be possible to slide/drift for short distances with them. Maybe not real drifting but low grip racing. Please consider using your JDM car packs next for a touge style race. I saw that you got many Japanese car bodies, and they would be absolutely awesome for this. And while on subject of touge racing, please allow us to to buy 10 cars, and then set 8 of them to slow AI traffic. That way you can race in traffic and have to avoid cars as well, which adds to the no hesi/touge/tourist nordschleife feeling.
Nice video my friend 💯💯💯💯💯💯 A very creative idea 💯💯💯💯💯💯 I look forward to seeing your designs. Congratulations on your journey forward💥💥💥💥💥 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@carrera do you guy's plan to working on a better unit or upgrade for digital set anytime soon? we would like to have a better ghost cars performance like "smart" cars can slowdown /going faster...or deep learning the track please?
As a Sim-, Slotcar- and RC-Racer/Gamer I think the biggest flow of the product is the need of a phone. But Carrera disappointed me in slot cars by not hearing on the community so it will here. Examples: Carrera slot cars need a lot of work to run well, and where is the advancement? Why we still can't drive with more then 6 cars? Why do we need to use a third party app to run the digital system because the Carrera app is nonsense? Why stop producing Carrera Digital 143? Yes it was not very popular but there are some very fixable reasons for this: Use the same digital components from the bigger systems, add side curbs like on the bigger systems and add rotating slide guide to the cars. I was forced to 3D print the curbs, buy SCX Compact cars (cheaper and more details) and modify the electronics of the 124/132 system to fit the 143. The major part of a adults hobby's is building, using, optimizing. I can't see any of this here. If I wan't the build my own track I would use Dr!ft cars, not this one. And for kids I can't see how they should use this? Do I have to buy a 5 year old a phone? Do I need to install a app on friends phones which may be controlled by a parent policies? How I'm supposed to play this with 6 kids? Currently I just put them the controller in the hands and we are ready to start. And have you ever tried to race a RC car with phone? It's simple impossible. And all what you did is to counter measure this bullshit by using software. You will never have the feeling of controlling the car on the limit by yourself, you will just control a algorithm which, when you are lucky, will do what you want. Many manufacturers (I look at you VW) are called out by using touch buttons. Why the hell should touch buttons even exist ...touch an screen, haptic on buttons! We need to stop this asap. Rant end :P
That is oke! We will continue to produce slot cars and Carrera RC alongside Carrera Hybrid, so there's something for everyone. 😄 It's important to note that the app on your mobile phone serves a much broader purpose than just steering the vehicle. The app integrates a sophisticated simulation system that replicates realistic acceleration, braking, and handling characteristics of the actual cars, ensuring an immersive driving experience. Even when the car is off the track, it doesn't operate like a conventional RC car; it still maintains simulated speed, acceleration, and turning radius, providing a unique driving experience. On the track, the app also offers additional support to help keep the car on the course, while still giving the driver full control. The vehicle's advanced sensors and built-in intelligence work seamlessly with the smartphone, which is why the Carrera Hybrid requires the use of a smartphone.

Should also not drink and drive, but with slot cars and Carrera hybrid you can race and drink a beer, since it is a toy. 😉 Carrera Hybrid is an extra product line, it is not to replace any products, so we are still very much into slot car racing. For Carrera Hybrid, the cell phone actually gives an extra dimension to steering the vehicle. We have tested it out at the Gamescom along with visitors and people were very enthusiastic. Cool stuff, looks very promising! Is it technically possible to have the cars go even slower than in realistic mode (via settings maybe)? Especially for beginners the slower the cars drive, the easier it is to get a grip for the controls of the car and there is more room to learn duelling on track.
Thank you! Yes, it is possible. You can adjust the speed and choose various settings. With your thumb, you can accelerate on the right-hand side, giving you control over the speed.
@@CarreraToysOfficial Thanks for replying! The acceleration im aware of. My question was more like, are we able to let the cars drive slower than in "realistic" mode. (I think this one is the slower out of two available drive modes in terms of speed). I know that in realistic mode they handle like their reallife countparts in terms of speed etc., but it looks still quite fast on a small track. Just from the look of it, an even slower mode/option would lead to more on track action and wheel to wheel battling I would assume.
@@knochenkotzer456 You can change cars during race, they should be charge faster then the 30 mins, you can race foever or your phone battery dies ;). These are small cars not much space for a battery.

@@CarreraToysOfficial So a controller must snap in the phone, like you can do with some Drone controller. Or a bluethooth controller connected to the phone. Maybe it's enough that the app supports external control via USB/Bluethooth so the third party controller can be supported.
Absolutely not. Drift, another product from sturmkind, showed that you can control the cars with your smartphone just fine. And there is a more or less complex racing simulation running on the phone.
@@CarreraToysOfficial really looking forward to the product being released but my concern about the phone is the amount of development you guys will need to do to keep on top of iOS and Android updates. Also, whilst I am sure your testing is thorough, when this goes out in the wild then all sorts of bugs will be flagged and again my concern is you become overwhelmed. I am all for use of the phone by the way but I want to buy a product I can still use in 5 years and I fear you are biting off more than you can chew here. But I do wish you well.
@@planetbarton ☺Thank you for sharing your thoughts and concerns; they are much appreciated. We're excited about the product release too, and we understand your reservations regarding the ongoing development required to stay aligned with iOS and Android updates. It's something we take very seriously.
Wish you would increase production and expand sales in the US. Long stretches of time with virtually nothing in stock...anywhere. I got a pocket full of money and nothing to spend it on.
