So question, are you putting the bobber at the depth you think the fish are? Or are you dropping to bottom with the rig, then putting the bobber on? Thanks
shouldn't be using those tiny trebles........walleye aside, you gut hook just about everything. If you want to release a fish with a treble in its gut, it may well die. If you're fishing sawbellies live, you can use a bigger hook than 12.
Good video. Please please get a boga type grip for the Trout. You will love it. Makes handling the fish easy and you don't have to shove your hand under their gills. Thanks again for a good video.
Good video. You would love to use a boga type grip for these Trout! Super easy to use for those slimy Trout and much safer for the fish than sticking your hand in the gill plate!
Love trout and salmon fishing on good ol Cayuga lake. I usually launch other side of salmon creek because I always use a kayak. This spring I'll hopefully have my boat launch ready though so I'll see ya out there my friend!
Been shooting my halon 32 since sept of 2017 and I killed many animals and am so confident in this how I love it I will shoot it for another 10 years.. even when I go to my pro shop I shoot the new ones my halon feels better
I'm at cayuga lake state park campground this week til friday.... struck out trolling today... 🤔. Gonna hit the bass tomorrow... need to shake off the skunk. Lol 😆
2 7’ medium heavy fast action and two 6’6 medium heavy fast action. I used to use medium action rods but switched over to the medium heavy for the power when catching bigger fish.
Planning on hitting Cayuga this year. I come from trolling in the great plains - bottom bouncers with slow death rigs or spinners/minnors. I'd be really curious what your trolling setups are and your jigging/floating setups are on this lake late june or early July. Its really hard to tell what you're using in the videos.
I’ve found 1 of these looks brand new and I want it bad but I’ve been shooting the elite tempo for the last 3 years and it just feels more balanced I just don’t know if I could like that too heavy feel anymore I bought my son a z3 which is pretty much the same thing as a z7 which I had and killed like 50 deer with it but his bow is so top heavy it’s uncomfortable I don’t remember the z7 being that bad p.s. sorry for such a long post lol
Yeah it was heavy enough that I just sold this bow. I’m in the market for an expedition to try out right now will do another review on that too! Mathews did get there bows balanced out with the vertix and on but they are still quite a bit heavier than other brands out there. Being I strictly hang and bang hunt I need something lighter to haul around.
Haha!! Truth about waiting on a flagship bow. Just wait 4 months after release if that long and you’ll find people are already trying to get rid of them for whatever reason.
Can you do a video explaining the rig? I live a couple hours away and am just not familiar with that rigging setup. Looks like a fish finder rig w/ a bobber at some point in the line?
Good fishing I enjoyed the video please be a little more kind to the trout the bottom of gill plate where it connects to the body can rip fairly easily wet hands before touching their skin is more delicate than a bass and a dry hand could and I've seen it happen kill a trout days later. I suggest gripping the tail firmly with one hand while cupping the bottom of the fishes head with wet hands
