Thanks Nick the lessons both you and Sam post up on the channel have helped my playing and technique develop in leaps and bounds, my solos are sounding more melodic and my bag of tricks is continually growing plus I'm having a real lot of fun learning and implementing new ideas and I'm listening to music I never thought I'd enjoy, I started out as a 'metal' guitarist and these days I'm just a guitarist...... that encompasses a myriad of genres! You guys rock man!
Listen mate. Tune up that f...n. fancy Gibson of yours. On the first place. And when you did, just do not dare to mention the Killing Joke. "Shut up yer' guitar'.
I only read, say, two of the first comments prior to posting this and I immediately--wholeheartedly--agreed with their analysis. I'm not going to overthink this. Simply stated, this guitar solo has cajones! Feel, power, tone and compositionally fits the song.

AWESOME LESSON 🎸. ! Thank you 👍. At around 33minute you are improvising around some nice chord voicings. Could you explain a bit what you were doing there (chords / soloing) ? Sounded fantastic 🎶 🙏 Last question: which backing track did you use ? THANKS AGAIN & greetings from Germany,
First thing he played is a D to A to the Alex Lifeson E chord, then A dorian over A minor then to A blues scale with the flat 5,for a good video on this position see Ross Cambell's video-How Slash melts your face
What can I say? There was never a band Like Quo, Not even a little bit Close to Them...they owned that shuffle Thing complete on their own. To me, followed the band for many years, IT was Always Parfitt and Lancaster, WHO kept the band rockin....Francis was Margherita Time.....
One of the best Quo Songs is neither a straight Rock 'n' Roll nor a shuffle, but their approach of a Bo Didley / Clave Groove called "That's A Fact" from the "Blue For You" Record...Tight and in the Pocket, with more than 3 chords and a great bass movement. Even some rhythmical changes. If you don't know the song just fill the gap...
I'm a truck driver that has some drumming experience. Couldn't play a guitar to save my life. This if so fascinating. I really appreciate great music and the breakdowns.
