I googled dual sport milk crate and this vid popped up. Surprised it doesnt have a million views yet lol. I've been using a crate zip tied to the rack on my crf300l. Added 6 bungee cords and its way more versatile than my top box was. Great video sir.

I just got a Ryker 900 , used 2021. I was told at dealership all that had been done ( alignment, engine checks and tuneup, oil change, etc). Prior to my taking the Ryker home. It seems fine. But do you get a laser front end alignment at the local dealers garage? Is that different than a regular front end alignment. Hope these are not stupid questions. To me the bike seems to ride just fine. My brother, who is a vintage gold wing two wheeled rider disagrees. He says it handles a little “squirrely “ to him. I am having a blast on it. I am 66 years young as of today. If I am still healthy and enjoying it in about a year or so the plan is to upgrade to a spyder RT We will see.
Thats without TT&L, out the door at my dealer its $5300 for the bike and with TT&L they quoted me about $6600 but thats a new 24, $6300 for a used is nuts. I'm also an older guy thats buying a xt250
@@FullydownableNo. I had the dealer install the mids for me. They just take off the forwards and install the mids. No other changes like exhaust or anything else are necessary.
Been there done that (X times). The XT250 is one my list and hope to get one soon. For off road riding highly recommend a glove and a MX boots (insurance for your leg).
Put on some knobbies, pull off the front wheel mudguard, Ricochet Skidplate, Brighter headlight, Handguards, Risers, Pro Taper Bars (Windhelm bend) , and finish it off wiht pro taper handgrips. At least that what i did to mine.

I put some British Customs straight pipes on. I did not do the x-pipe delete. I did it for looks. I have not ever liked the look of the BIG stock cans. When slowing down the back pressure pops sound good. But they are not very loud with the original cat x-pipe still on.
I have not ever leaned it so far. I began riding HDs and all had forward controls so that was what I was used to. So - I went over some railroad tracks on the Speedmaster and there was a dip in the road where the rear suspension bottomed out. I could not stand on the forward controls and I felt that jolt up in my neck; not just in my butt and up my spine. So, I made the suspension under the seat one click stiffer, but I also decided to go with the mid controls just so I could stand. I am completely comfortable with mid controls and think now it is a better riding position than being laid back. Now I have a Yamaha xt250, Tenere 700, and a FJR 1300 all with mid controls. I really like the mid-control position better.
Check the tires while they are warm. The air pressure will increase as the tires heat up. 28 psi on cold tires could turn into 32 psi when the tires warm up.
Yes. That is a given. But you do not decrease air pressure in a tire when it gets warm. What? You want them to be under-pressure when they become cool again? Your logic is off.
I did the exact thing for a while and just yesterday upgraded to some mosko moto bags. your idea works well. I've done some upgrades to my XT250 and you might enjoy those videos. I'm looking at all kinds of bikes just like that. You made the right choice because those heavy adventure bikes, it takes the fun out of it. It sort of works, but you lay it down in the mud and try to get it up again. The lighter the better as long as it gets you to the trail. Not that I've had one. I have a 600 Shadow that I take on old roads and once I tried it on a trail and barely got out of there. It only weighs a little over 400, like 420 or something, but it's too much weight when you get off trail.
Lmao if I saw a motorcycle laying down I'd record myself walking up and pick it up and If I heard any movement in the house I'd yell an explanation and that I have video proof I was just picking it up so it didn't blow the engine

There are issues and i have a video on the rear brake light staying on (which eventually had a recall and is now fixed). Currently there is a fuel pump recall but I have not received my notice yet.
