Great instruction. I'm a beginner (lead), I don't know yet how to give the follower the hand or body language signals with push, pull, stop, to indicate which way the next turn will be. At 5:53 there are 4 different pushes/pulls of the lead's left hand. How does the follow know what the lead eventually intends? I try to give signals by hand positions but my partner and I end up stopping our movement and she's looking at me confused. I've also seen leads leading the follow into turns with some muscle. I thought I could give subtle hand pushes/pulls/tosses to indicate how the next turn will go but it's leaving the follow confused.
Thank you so much. I am an older dancer, I don't have as many active brain cells as when I was younger, so, this video makes efficient use of what I have left. This may even make my brain create new connections.
This will teach you the moves but all that means nothing if i don’t know how to count music , so when you say on. 1 or and 5 , 6 , 7 … i don’t even know what those numbers mean in accordance with the music .
When I first started doing salsa, performing such a figure seemed supernatural to me. After I had been practicing salsa for about a year, I just had to look at this figure in the first part of the video, and I immediately realized - Yes, I can do this) Great tutorial!
why does something that looks so simple, is so difficult to execute ?! I went to a dancing club last night, my first lesson, total disaster. even with personal help from two instructors, could not bring my feet to do these simple moves. even a wood plank could dance better than me. then again, surely there are other things in life, that I can build my confidence on...
@@jorgechavez8774samee my whole family dances salsa and we’re colombian… being the only one who doesnt dance is the worst 😭 regret not participating when dancing now I gotta fend for myself but we got this!! 😂
Well my story, all my Co workers are of Spanish and haitian decent. And they're having to much fun at work dancing to salsa music and I'm extremely jealous 😂😂😂😂. Now I'm here trying to learn, guess who will be joining the party in due time lol
