Hi, It might be okey to put IR receive to battery car of orient express. However, what I concern is that power function might not drive such heavy orient express. So I use powerUp to drive. Hope this help you.

This is not commercial LEGO construction set. I use lego compoent "95347" and technical brick to build spiral and bridge.

Hi, Sure, one motor in front locomotive , one motor in rear locomotive, total two motors. LEGO power-Up system, setting 6/10 when climbing to spiral. You can try it.😀
