I have the pleasure of sharing my passions for the wilderness, building, fixing and all other things interesting with my great group of RU-vid friends.
I have lived offgrid in the bush for over 3 years, but now I am moving to the next chapter in my life and am building a big log home as my next place to live. It is going to be an incredible journey building my own home. I am using logs I harvested myself and plan to do most of the work by myself. This project will be the main focus of my channel, with many other adventures along the way im sure!
NOBODY WORTH A SHIT IS WORRIED ABOUT YOU NOT PUTTING A VIDEO OUT ON A CERTAIN DAY. WE ARE JUST HAPPY FOR YOU TO BE ABLE TO DO THIS. AWESOME TO SEE SOMEONE SO MOTIVATED. KEEP UP THE GOOD / GREAT WORK. WE ARE ALL PROUD FOR YOU.GOD BLESS
VERY HAPPY FOR YOU. YOU'VE WORKED YOUR ASS OFF. LOVE THE CHANNEL. YOU'LL HAVE SOMETHING AWESOME TO PASS DOWN TO SOME CHILDREN OR GRANDCHILDREN. AGAIN AWESOME JOB AND MUCH RESPECT
If you were my Son I would be so proud of you and your skills at 27. I’ve never seen a build where there are no voids between the logs. Good on you. Cmac83
This is my favorite YT channel!!! Every few weeks, I start wondering what you've been up to and then you bless us with another installment! This log home is looking beautiful!!!!
My guy! You are living RIGHT on the edge of catastrophe- when you get in a bind take her slow and ever say “fuck it, I’ll just…” I’ve been watching you for 3 years and I don’t want to have to stop cuz you pinched yourself in half under one of those massive logs.
Kyle, I have watched you for some time now, you have the attitude GET ER DONE is what it takes in today's world, ONE QUESTION I never see ladies around is there a second half or girlfriend
One day a big bison carcass appeared on the city driveway of my neighbour John who was then in his mid 80s. When he was asked how he got it there by himself, he would reply "If you can move it an inch, you can move it a mile" (he had been a farmer before moving into the city). When he was 90 he was looking under my old F250 to see what the problem was. Before he died at 95, he was still puttering around his property,
I bought a scaffolding just like that. It was 250.00 US money. It is also well built. Right now I’m using it to store lumber on. Just because I am not using it.
This is incredible! Watched/listened to this and 2 more from the channel before realizing it and now coming back to the first to like, subscribe, and comment. This video was so good, but it's hard to explain. Several times he'd be doing something that caused me to have a question in my head and he'd explain. It's like he cut it and added interactive commentary.
Hello Mr Traplines. I am perplexed as to the basement. It doesn't seem to be included in your build. It appears that you are building very close to the ground. Have I missed something in the explanations? I enjoyed going on the tour around the house plan though. Thankyou for showing us all.
I would like to compliment you on this exacting work that you are doing. I could not build a log cabin, and especially a very big house; which you are doing. You say you havent done this before, and yet, you are finding your way around the hard stuff like a pro!. it is lovely to see your progress, and I am watching to see how you are going, and how the project is coming along. Well done bright Lad!
This must be a common floor plan for these log cabins cuz my buddy has a cabin that we go to every year and its exact exact same lay out. Only difference is the kitchen/dining is flipped with the stairs/livingroom and theres no basement. And the loft is completely open floor plan with just a bunch of beds. Youre definely gonna be comfortable there cuz we have about 20 people every time we go and theres more than enough room for all of us in there. And you have the basement too so you should be able to raise a small football team in that cabin haha.
Would you share a link to your log scribing tool! I’m looking to build a log cabin of my own in the next few years and that scrap seems to work absolutely dandy!
Great to see you Sweetie. You amaze me every time I see a new video and how much you have done and accomplished on your own. Truly Proud of you. Great job.🥰❤️
