so happy you’re back !!!!! i hope you know we’re all happy if you are in terms of releasing content, don’t feel forced to make videos constantly if that’s not bringing you joy!
Glad to see you’re back!! Love your videos! I’d recommend “Homegoing” by Yaa Gyasi. It’s a book mostly set in Ghana. But when I read it, it’s like a bunch of short stories that are intertwined because each next chapter/story is from the next generation of the previous chapter. So from 1600s to present day lineage. Really great!
Lovely to have you back and glad you had so many great reads. I have Rosewater on my physical tbr. I'm totally disturbed by the child star thing too. My kids love watching the family vloggers and the whole concept makes me feel so uncomfortable. I won't let my children appear on my channel and I can't imagine filming their whole lives and putting them online for money. But that's just my opinion! Glad you're ok lovely xxx
They’re making Tomorrow x3 into a film?!!! Omg we NEED to go and see that together how fun would that be?!! Sooooo happy to have you back on RU-vid, it’s such a brighter space with you in it ☀️💕
I totally get taking a break! I basically did the same for a long time because life was too hectic. I"m glad you did what you needed to for your own well-being, and it's nice to see you back!
It’s so lovely to see you back, and even more amazing to see a creator who steps back when they need to! It makes such a difference to see content that reflects the fact that life sometimes throws stuff at you, and it takes time to feel yourself again 👏
Trying to be the person who comments more because people deserve to hear the good things you think about them! Anyways - I watched a few videos of yours a few months ago and never subscribed. RU-vid fed me your post about returning yesterday, watched another video and realized I should subscribe! I’m not a reader but hoping to be and not even sure we like the same books but as a woman of color it really does mean a lot to watch a Black creator offer her take on books. I watched a video of yours yesterday where you mentioned not liking a book as you feel the author wrote from too privileged of a place and I loved that! That sort of perspective and honesty is lacking in a lot of book content creators despite it being a big factor for BiPOC readers. I look forward to watching your future videos!
Hey!!! It's so good to see you on here again! My summer hasn't been great either! 😢 I know what you mean about the chapters being too long and it definitely needs to be a song!! 😂 With Rosewater, is it quite graphic (like open door scenes/lots of swearing etc)? I would like to read it but I am nervous about how graphic it might be? Esp if the main character is a f-girl? Hopefully see you soon on here whenever you can/want to upload! 😊
So happy to see you back, I did a happy shriek when I saw you’d uploaded! Health and life first my gal, you don’t owe us anything! 😂❤ I need to read Tomorrow next, I have had it sat for a year and it’s been overlooked so that is my next read now 🥰 all the best!
So good to see you again, friend! ❤ I’ve also been in a reading slump lately, and I hope this video helps spark my reading motivation! I’m going to grab myself a warm cup of tea, sit back, and enjoy some time with you. ❤
Don't ever apologize for taking care of yourself. People were concerned as they care. Maybe just put up a simple post that says "Taking a break" We all need to step away at times. ❤📚
Ooooh I’m so glad you enjoyed it! That’s a great shout with the audio book, I think I’ll try that 🙌🏾 I really want to read it because the idea sounds so fascinating!!
Great I am currently reading the "prequel" to Dracula called 'Dracul' by J. D. Barker in themed with 'Spooky Season' - even though I do not celebrate - I am a mood reader. The writing is delicious, and it blurrs the line between fact and fiction. I highly recommend if you like horror or thriller books.
So good to have you back! Taking a break is totally ok - taking care of yourself always comes first, even if it's ""just"" to enjoy the summer ☺ I'm definitely and proudly childfree, and Breasts and Eggs sounds super compelling! I who have never known men is also on my list ^^
So nice to see your beautiful face back again! I have to say I was very lukewarm on tomorrowx3. I feel like nobody talks about the massively long section that is set in that western game where she’s like an optometrist and trades rocks. It’s literally the most boring thing I’ve ever read in my life. I tried to read it to my partner so he could experience it too and we just couldn’t get through that part. 😂 But there were parts that were ok and agree with the portrayal of like the chronic illness or handicap.
OMG I agree with you on that part!!! I actually forgot to mention that, as I loved everything else in the book, but I agree, that western game chapter was not it AT ALL! 😂😂
The leap I just did when I saw you had posted two hours ago 😮😍 I'm so excited to see you're back!! I've been a silent follower from the first day but this excitement got me that I just had to comment! Right, I'm gonna sit back, relax, and get watching 🎉 This is the Wednesday night excitement that I needed 🤭 Welcome back ❤
