Because it was just a temporary screen while his original screen "got repaired". The temporary screen was a hard oled i believe and also had the "non genuine" message. Customer did not want that message and wanted the original screen. 😢
@@911Gadgets Oh OK, hope the screen lasts - these genuine screens are usually refurbished - like front glass or flex cable or even both. Usually with cracked screens on soft oled dots may form

Both my screws are stripped. Did everything you explained here but now cannot get the screws out with the pliers. Do you have any luck with drilling them out? If so, what size bit do I use? Thanks
Thank you so much for this video. I bought a new screen from a buyer on Ebay that was supposed to come with the frame. When I received it in the mail it was just the screen and no frame. You're one of the only good videos that showed the whole process WITHOUT FRAME. Thank you.
I have started repairing phones. Just did this repair. Was lucky it worked fine. Issues had Heated front and removed glass by accident. Then to remove actual screen was difficult. I think I damaged the screen by causing creases. Of course doing frame screen replacement repair is the safe way to go. Great video
Thanks for sharing your tests. However, you have at least 2 methodological flaws that make the results of your tests unreliable: 1. You didn't do a control experiment with a non-protected phone. How can you be sure that the 1st liquid protector is better than just no protection ? I suppose it is but without a control you cannot be sure that that liquid indeed does something. 2. You only did one repetition of each experiment, but as with any experiment you're subject to random effects and so each time that you drop the lock on the same type of protector you can have different results. That's why the first tempered glass broke from a much lower height than the second one. You will need to have much more iphones available to repeat the test on each protector and compute the mean and variance of the height to have comparable results. Mmm, a little bit expensive though ..., Nevertheless, thanks for sharing, it was nevertheless interesting and entertaining, and thanks to you I discovered the existence of those liquid protectors.
Hello, have you an idea about aliexpress screen replacements?? I was just looking for s21plus, and I found one Oled/Frame replacement for $70. Are those generic screen funcional? What about the finger sensor? Thinking in the cost of $200 "original" screen...

Welp I did everything correctly and used every item used correctly as well without tears and the phone wouldn’t start anymore….maybe I bought a faulty screen?
