This was FABULOUS - thank you so much! You guys are awesome. I love the "We are the voice of these systems". I was the Original Voice of Google (yes it was almost 20 years ago) and ator and have seen so many changes. I just casted for 14 voices for a game/start-up and worked w/contracts and making sure the company is integrating these talented VO artists with AI ethically (and be sure it's beneficial as well). I found out A LOT about the 3rd party that they use. As this was 9 months ago-I'd love to hear your updated thoughts given SAG/AFTRA contract, etc. AND AFTER WATCHING THIS -I'M JOINING NAVA!!!

Thank you Sarah Kennedy. Such much valuable advice from you here. I am not a novice when it comes to V/O but I am a novice when it comes to Home Studio & Source Connect and thank you for being the first one to reach out to me via Source Connect and do a 'test' and confirm that My Home Studio and S/C is all working as it should. And thank you to ALL on this panel for your advice and suggestions. Hello from Melbourne Australia... Peter Sardi Oh, and thanks to BigMouth Voices for taking me on board!

Appreciate this webinar guys! Do you suggest auditions made to any platform, an NAVA's AI rider should be communicated somehow? Is now the time to add NAVA's AI riders listed on the vo talent's website?

I crave your mouth, your voice, your hair. Silent and starving, I prowl through the streets. Bread does not nourish me, dawn disrupts me, all day I hunt for the liquid measure of your steps. I hunger for your sleek laugh, your hands the color of a savage harvest, hunger for the pale stones of your fingernails, I want to eat your skin like a whole almond. I want to eat the sunbeam flaring in your lovely body, the sovereign nose of your arrogant face, I want to eat the fleeting shade of your lashes, and I pace around hungry, sniffing the twilight, hunting for you, for your hot heart, like a puma in the barrens of quitratue. The rationale behind hanging a mic upside down comes from tube mics. The heat rising from the tube can cause the diaphragm to change temperature over time, which will change the sound of the mic. Placing the tube above the capsule will let the heat rise without passing over the diaphragm. Another thing that happens is that the vocalist sings slightly upward into the mic, which forces the airway open and encourages a full-body voice. Take a deep breath and sing a low note, start with your chin to your chest, and slowly lift your head until your chin has about a 15-degree lift. Hear any difference?

Thank you, David, for doing these videos. Natasha is amazing and we all love her "Speechless" podcast with Kim Wilson. By the way, I also have a Fender padded stool in my booth, but I rarely sit.

I was trying to imitate the original speech, placing myself in the role that FDR was in over the radio. He did lots of pauses. Try listening to the original speech. Remember that his audience couldn't see him, so I imitated his speech's pattern. I would not normally go that slow or that many pauses.

Just caught this a couple days after your session. Very interesting and revealing how a client may evaluate a read. I really appreciated the multi audition reads for perspective. And yes, would be helpful to do more on the future.

Yes I agree. It's clear that it all depends on the Casting Director and what they're looking for. I did however find some things consistent which was really helpful as well. I'm sorry I missed this session I found out about it today. Hopefully I'll get a chance to participate in the script contest and have the ability to participate in a session similar to this one. Appreciate you David and Edge Studios.
