We're getting our kitchen sink line done on Monday. Poor plumber worked hours trying to rod it out to no avail. This certainly sounds like the answer to our issue. Our drain water doesn't move, it's truly plugged up, and I'll be so happy in 3 days.
Maybe in a large building where pipes aren’t accessible this might work but be best to put a liner inside the pipe after cleaning. If it’s that rough looking, it’s going to have holes or thin spots that will become holes.
Seems like the pipe would be splitting that's a lot of action inside a pipe, and how does it make the turns? I would think the hydrojet is softer gentler to the pipe. Old cast iron pipes are brittle.
The machine is between $4000 and $9000. Plus the training and experience to use it correctly. In your scenario, DIY for you is job security for the service provider.
@debblouin The machine can be rented , no need for an over priced plumber . But one main point is that if your main line is too badly corroded this machine can Crack it and cause you more damage . The best thing in that case is just replace it . It's labor , but not that complicated.

My kitchen drain pipe is in floor, how do i prevent back flow into my face? Is there a tip that blows forward only rather than a back and forth tip? Thanks
Niiiice...makes the pipe look like a honed out cylinder. No jetter is gonna do that.. I recently discovered General's clogchopper bits with R type connectors for my Ridgid K60 and these things blow through a cast line like warm butter
@@robert5 At my residence I use a gas 3500 psi gas pressure washer without any problem. The hydro snake method is the best way to clean out tough drain problems like in the kitchen sink. I really like the clean out drain. Great idea! Great video too.
