Is that Harvey Brooks on bass? They did the Fillmore West one of the times Jimi played there, I think the second time when Mitch and Noel weren't around, a last minute booking.
I saw him once when he played a downtown LA bar called Scream in the late 80s. It was a solo show, Thunders on stage with an acoustic, but he just nodded and slurred and finally just fell into a stupor. Wish I’d seen the Heartbreakers at Max’s.
Those were the daze back then. I feel sorry for the souls who missed out. It was a wonderful time to be young in Laguna Beach and Hollywood, California.
That's Malcolm LeMaistre singing, isn't it? I loved his two songs on Earthspan. The Actor, and also The Sailor and the Dancer. Did he record any others? Not as familiar with ISB's later work

Sorry folks, This performance sounds like absolute shit. It's muddy, cruddy, way over distorted. It's clipping and crashing. Jimi Hendrix Sucks!… Jimi Hendrix is way over rated. Even the Rolling Stones and The Sex Pistols sound better than Jimi Hendrix. What's the big stink about Jimi Hendrix?…. Hendrix sucks!. Jimi Hendrix is a " Panty Waist " Guitarist. A Cheap Cheesy Sissy Guitarist with his guitar distortion turned up to 10. If anything… Hendrix is a really irritating influence.
Hendrix was often a victim of the technological limitations of his era. At some concerts (Band of Gypsy’s, Fillmore East) his Marshall amps howled and screamed with the perfect amount of tone, distortion and feedback. Other concerts (like this one), the lack of a decent PA system, an uneven amp stack, and the inability to control feedback (which often allowed Jimi to create notes, within notes) meant he was left trying to muscle the sounds out his guitar. In the end, Hendrix’s tremendous musicianship and stage presence carried him through.
