Caler Edwards is a Full Stack Designer making videos to help and inspire creatives. This is a place to learn and be inspired about Web Design, Webflow and UI/UX Design. Have a Great day!
@@CalerEdwards isn’t it a more elaborate tool which can be used for more purposes and also has a lower risk of issues with accessibility? Framer does seem to be flashy, but I think the risk of it having poor accessibility and also won’t run well on either mobile viewports or older devices which can not handle these animations that well. (Apart from the fact you’re designing web first, I’d like to see a mobile first approach as upscaling usually is easier rather than downscaling and trying to fit everything on an iPhone SE model).
Can I ask you something? What is the point of creating a Token? Aren't they just variables? Do I need to create Variables and Tokens for every projects?
For larger projects they are helpful so things can stay consistent no matter what designer or developer is working on the project. Not needed as much on smaller projects but still a little helpful for in case projects gets larger in future
Thanks a lot. Take Love Man. <3 All the other tutorials are so fast-paced it is impossible to learn anything from them. You, on the other hand, explained everything in a proper speed.
is it possible to add an interaction with a 3D element that takes you to another page from the website? I know in spline it's possible to add a link event but in wix it just doesn't work when I try to click the same object even if I copy paste the code into my embed situation
For anyone watching this in 2024, you don't need to use the custom "Embedded Code" anymore. Webflow introduced a simpler way which will allow your buttons and links to be clickable. Select your Div cursor wrapper and on the right panel scroll down to the Effects options and down to 'Events', it shows two options, "Auto" and "None". Select 'None' and this will allow all your links to be clickable. I learned this on the Webflow University and on the "Pointer Events" section.
To be honest, the use of AI in this niche is so contradictory. To keep it simple, AI is evolving, and let's see if the future allows us to remove boring tasks so we can focus on value-added tasks.
is there a even more beginning tutorial... like mine doesnt look like yours. you have a box on the left that shows all the "assets", i dont. are there any tutorials that literally start at the VERY BEGINNING?
A figma variable is a figma variable and nit a token. Design tokens are agnostic…translatable into every desired format. figma vars are not agnostic as they are figma specific. As a css variable too is kot a token too A json or xml would be the format your are looking for. You can kind of create the structure in figma. But it is in no way a token. Stop spreading half truths.
Correct, you can mimic or use the same structure as a token but you still need to create them for your actual website. I mean you can use the same naming conventions to keep it consistent from design to final project.
Plugins need updates. many of this ones lack update for 2 or 3 years. You should never build your profession on someone shoulders. Make your own plugins. Thats apply to everything, including figma.
hm thats pretty much utter nonsense, than also all programmer will be replaced....just people who learn to work with AI will be the ones to profit most. You still need knowledge, talent and dedication.....You can just design, programm way faster than before, so youre not getting replaced, you just own your own copmany instead of being hired....
sure illustrate it the old way. In the meantime, the company using AI just outperformes you. Either go with it or die in the process....Kind of like witht he internet before
