@@HOWTODO0828 Okay, it's a shame I'm looking for two new fenders and my cheapest option at the moment would be €130 each. to order painted ones via Amazon but these are in the paint LC9X and not in LO41 and I don't want them to look different so I thought you knew someone who might sell them in that color but if it's just a friend of yours that's fine It's probably not the case that he sells them to everyone.
Good video. Thank you. A one second spray of brake cleaner on each plug at the start will help prevent debris from getting in and clean out the mating area of the hex, making it easier to insert. Also we are told to put teflon thread tape on the drain plug thread before re-installing - Keep the W212 videos coming!
according to your experience, do you recommand to change the spring also ? I mean, with the age and miles, does it get shorter anytime ? I speak for every car
Yes. For my cars in special I always replace most of the parts when I'm working. The springs it's a must with the shock absorber. For example if you only replace the shock and let the spring in the nearest future the spring can break and you have to work again there you have to pay the labor 2 x times then normal. And so on.
I’m stuck. 2023 model. I did everything in the video but it seems like something is still holding the bumper firmly under or near the headlights. Maybe newer models have another screw? Any suggestions?
Figured it out. On the 2023+ models the front left and front right are secured by 4 more hex bolts as well as 4 very tight clips that secure the radar harness, this will hold the entire bumper tight and the harness needs to be disconnected from the bumper in order to pull the bumper off. To access the 4 new bolts (two on each side) you need to either have a very short thin ratchet or star driver or have the wheels fully turned to each direction. This allows you to reach deep into the wheel well to remove those bolts. Very difficult 🤦🏻♂️ and had me wondering whether it was even worth it or not 😔
Thank you a lot for this very instructive & precise video, not too much blah blah, just what we need to service our van. Really hard to find infos on w447 services & maintenance, maybe too young so once again thank you for that! 🙏🏻 EDIT: my local parts retailer gave me 0w20 oil strictly following mercedes specs, I have a 2023 2.2 190 4x4 vito maybe the specs are a little bit different from yours but people just take care with manufacturer specs ;)
I already explained in the video. You didn't bought a good one. It's eighter the original pump or a pierburg one. Anything beside those won't work and you'll still have the error.
It does make send may friend. Always install oem parts. Yes they are verry expensive but make the difference in how long the part will last and how well will respond to any function. If you install an aftermarket one the reading Wil not me the same. The values will be different because of the low cost build etc.
Hello, and thank you for the great video. Can i ask, is it possible to do this job with the car in a normal garage, or do i need the canal/well to have enough space to get under the car?
You can do it even în the parking lot. You just need a good jack and something to support the weight of the vehicle and that's it. Just follow my steps and you will be able to do it very easy. Good luck 🙏💪
Can i ask another newbie question? How to jack the car up, and then place jackstands? The car have only one jack point on each side, and when i’ve jacked it up, there is no space for the jackstand, as the jack is taking up the point :p
Good question. I always lift it from the nearest point to the jack point. And the. I have enough space to pus my jack right on the jack point made for this. In some cases you can bend some metal parts from underneath the car or you could brake the plastics from underneath due to heavy weight of the car. That's the risk of doing it yourself. Just be careful.
Thanx! Yes, last time i jacked it up on stands i put the jack as close to the jack point as i could. It did some damage to the dust cover and the metal seam underneath. I just hope this wont induce rust problems or hurt the canals.
Excuse me...do you remember if it would be possible to remove the black lower plastic deflector that comes with the bumper (it is the one with the holes to replace the fog lights) without removing the entire bumper? thank you
Yes it's possible. It's holding in with some plastic clips. But I recommend you to remove the wheel dust cover and try to push it outside from inside the bumper. Just to be safe and în this way you Wil see better what's going on in there.
Probably not. În my case I had to replace the entire EGR VALVE with a new one because cleaning it didn't solved my problem. A new one it's around 300 euros.good luck man
I have skoda superb mk2 2011 year back seats heating are working properly, front seats movements lumbar support all working just not heating when i press button for hewted seats the light is on but no heating any ideas? Checked all fuses they are all perfect
În the worst case scenario the heating element from inside your seat it's broked. It's not likely to be like this on both seats. Also check the heating module from under the driver seat. It's probably broked.
@HOWTODO0828 hello again so i checked everything the wire that coming from the floor there are no any electric power but fuses are good i cant see any broken cables
Check more carefully...you could have a broked wire hidden somewhere. Check if you have voltage in the pins wich give you heat when you turn on the heating in the seats
Can you tell me how that top bracket with i think 3 attachment places, next to the windshield, works? I have loosened things up after a small accident on the passenger side. I dont see any clips that connect that bracket with this front fender/bumper. I removed the headlight (irreparable) so everything is easy to reach:)
Thanks for the video. I have a Nissan Qashqai 2007. The Right Passenger Rear Outer Door Handle is not retracting back in place. The door opens, but I have to push the handle back in place. Looks like the spring insight is broken or out of place. How can I fix that? thanks in advance.
@HOWTODO0828 a friend of mine has a mark v golf that needs the repair. I might offer to fix it for him. I just don't have the small torx security bit, if that's what it is. I've taken inner door cards off, but never the exterior panel. Cheers man 👍
