Wild I ended up here randomly tonight. I would play this in my first car (‘99 carolla) all the time when I was 16. In between playing Hardcore of the same time period. ‘06 -‘08 junior and senior year of high school driving all across Massachusetts to different shows at vfw halls, school cafeteria’s, churches, skateparks. Seems like a such a special time before everyone moved to Boston or out of state. MySpace was a huge way for bands to form and get their music out and play shows literally everywhere.
Holy shit did we live the same life when we were 16? My first car was a white 99 Corolla and I still remember when my buddy gave me a burnt copy of this demo and I instantly fell in love. Can’t believe it’s been so long. I’m grew up just outside of Worcester (where FYS is from) and I just remember how stoked everyone was to have such a great band coming out of Worcester. What I’d give to go back and just be cruising around with my friends blasting this shit looking for night skating spots and drinking OE 40z!
i remember having this downloaded on my psp in 07, i just started high school, in a town over from worcester and all my buddies were going to fys shows every couple weeks or so. fys, title fight, al4w, transit, such gold, all showed me that music was way more than just whatever my dad had showed me. i remember when i started finding music on my own on myspace because of these guys. i miss those days
When you know that I'm gone you will Say to yourself I have nothing anymore Nothing to ignore No one to make sure you're ok To make sure you're ok You've got bedtime eyes And you bat 'em like a hero and to no surprise You just kill me, kill me sometimes You just kill me, kill me sometimes I'm not getting any closer I'm not getting any closer I'm not getting any closer I'm not getting any closer to you again Its not the same as it used to be before Life times of sneaking Lips speaking in whispers And I kissed hers But did she know it all along I swear she knew it all along And I'm holding her responsible For everything, everything For everything, all the things I've become You're the one to blame for... For everything, all the things I've become You're the one to blame for... You're the one to blame for... For everything, all the things I've become You're the one to blame for... (Sometimes) I'm not getting any closer I'm not getting any closer I'm not getting any closer I'm not getting any closer to you again It's not the same as it used to be before You're the one to blame for... for everything, all the things I've become You're the one to blame for... So let me tell you what I've learned, dreams won't come true And I know, and I know that you want them to So just fall in line and you will be happy, just do your time they say Fuck that, I can do better than that. You'll see I can feel it comin on and on and on Up all night, it's been so long Since I've seen your face around these parts I never thought I had the heart I can feel it now too bad you're gone So let me tell you what I know, dreams will come true And I know, and I know they don't want you to Be all that you can be, but trust me, yeah trust me Do it for you, do it for you Yeah, We'll be the last punks left. You'll see I can feel it comin on and on and on Up all night, it's been so long Since I've seen your face around these parts I never thought I had the heart I can feel it now too bad you're gone I can feel the water crashing down upon our heads Just you and me and the open sea, we'll pack our bangs and we'll sail away, we'll sail away I can feel it comin on and on and on Up all night, it's been so long Since I've seen your face around these parts I never thought I had the heart I can feel it now too bad you're gone PEACE
Joey has no versatilIty like how laxon OR bryce had. Dude is a one-trick pony, and uses a lot of the same scales for melodies. Laxon would’ve been a better vocalist(over time), because I’ve actually witnessed(first-hand) how much he’s improved vs Joey. Not to discredit Joey, cause dude can be catchy sometimes, but he doesn’t bring a different dynamic to being the vocalist for the band.
this shit was popping my junior year of high school during the downfall of myspace. I am now 27 years old. do the math! P.S. it was during the popularization of torrents
