the days when most of the time, there was something great playing. a classic series or movie, or a fun documentary or magazine show. now, there are some gems here and there, but most of the time it's mediocre.
Thanks! Ive been so afraid to use this camera, just because of being confused, especially the separate aperture. On my version of the camera, it's on top corner of the lens, Secondly, speaking of Sound, I miss the analog sound, whether film or tape, it used to have so much dynamics and live-ness that digital doesn't have I do have a reel to reel recorder, but I was wondering if it was possible today, to get sound recorded on film, if we found sound film. And I dont mean in-camera when we shoot pictures, but I mean later on in the studio, maybe when you make print copy from original reel.
A 9.5-57 angenieux zoom (an excellent lens and probably the best vintage lens you can get) and also a 5.7 Kinoptic which I hadn't quite figured out yet (all the shots that are soft).
@@divergentthinkingproductions Thanks a lot! What mount is the Angenieux lens? It looks like it works perfect for Ultra 16. Do you know if this lens works for Super 16?
@@generaljohnson It's an Arri mount with a CP adapter; it's usually pricier than the CP-16 itself, so if you can find a deal on one, snap it up. However, I don't believe it's S16 safe unfortunately.
Excellent. Brings back wonderful memories from my youth having been brought up in the 60s and 70s. Despite everything they were great days with awesome television entertainment. Beats the hell out of this awful modern crap
You Dern Skippy, I Would, Until I Sat Down And Watched An Episode, I Tells Ya, I Got Hooked On The Show, "Secret Agent Man" Worked For Me, Love To See 👀 It Again, We Sho Could Use Him Now, Cuz "🎶The Odds Are, We Won't Live To See Tomorrow 🎶"
This song was released on February 1966 "Secret Agent Man" is a song written by P.F. Sloan and Steve Bam. The most famous recording of the song was made by Johnny Rivers for the opening titles of the American broadcast of the British spy series Danger Man, which aired in the U.S. as Secret Agent. Rivers's version peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #4 on the Canadian RPM chart, one of the biggest hits of his career. Numerous covers and adaptations have been recorded since then with the song becoming both a rock standard and one of Johnny Rivers's signature songs.
@@jadsi Really, you've got to talk to the lab. Also, I don't know what you're budget is, but it won't be that cheap so get an estimate to see if it fits what you're willing to spend.
Thanks for posting. May I ask about the blue flare on the right hand side of frame ? Is that a result of the ultra 16 conversion? May I ask who did the conversion? Cheers JP
If you're talking about the flaring in the outdoor footage, it's either normal lens flare as it's isolated to that footage for the most part or maybe due to the fact that my camera battery was acting up b/c it was intensely hot that day. It's not present in other shots so I'm chalking that up to the environment. I'll be doing some more testing in the spring I'll see if it crops up again. Re: U16 conversion. That was done by the late, great Bernie O'Doherty, RIP.
Enjoyed this even tho i was very young. Great to watch the series again. McGooan was a very fine actor. Today it's skin & vulgarity, little if any real acting ability.
