We’re Sal and Rebecca, The Tin Can Travelers! We’re retired military and police, now full-time RVers (since 2018) living in an Airstream, traveling the country and work camping along the way to make it all happen! We created this RU-vid channel with full-time RVing education, entertainment and the sharing of ideas in mind. Join our journey as we RV our way across the USA sharing the ups and downs of full-time RVing life! It’s gonna be interesting…
As far as the toilet paper in the trash can goes, it might be cultural as well. Many countries around the world don't have adequate plumbing to flush paper and people throw TP in trash cans in those countries. I'm not saying this is 100% the reason but just may be. My inlaws did this when they visited the US the first time. We let them know.
I realize you have not posted in 2 years but wanted to say hi! My husband is a retired military officer and I’m a retired police officer but we’re the Canadian version! I’ve enjoyed your videos. I hope you’re doing well.
Thanks for dropping a line and for your service. Rebecca and I are doing well thanks. We're glad you've enjoyed our videos and wish y'all safe and happy travels. 👍🏼
Been camping since 1964,Camp host's today are mostly personality disordered in some way to some extent.Looking for a free ride and an opportunity to nit pick and boss people. But clueless about the rights you have.If you want to be a host be humble and kind, not a Ken and Karen who think they own the place.Oh till the gang bangers show up then crickets.
South of the Border in Mexico they don't have much of a septic or sewer system therefore they place the toilet paper in the trash it's a Mexican thing which is spilled over into north of the Border this is not racist this is not a joke this is absolute fact
I have to make this drive from Ventura in a couple of weeks to attend a wedding . I'm a 71 y/o widow, and I'm terrified to drive this. Somebody pray for me, please. 😢
My seal went out and I had to come and find this video so I could fix it :-) miss your videos and IG posts, but hope things are going well for you and your doggo ❤
One thing we ve been noticing is that parents let their children go play unsupervised. The youngeest we saw was a 3 year old riding his bike on a path that had at least 5 exitways to kidnap a kid . If parents think campgrounds are immune to this type of disaster think. Now this is not lack of camping etiquette but im saying this to create awareness
You guys talk like prior to 2000 when things used to be normal procedure in the US. That's how it's supposed to be like " get it in writing" this was the norm. Thank you for breaking all this down very helpful to most.
Yep bought a trailer was 60 miles from from town no cell 7000 feet still had snow all of this really wasn't a problem . The issue that killed it there was no water
Another great video guys. Thanks for taking the time to make it. Here’s our experience trying camp hosting ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8HOHQp7sLUs.htmlsi=Lzt2sqYIzjm0zXXY
We are doing great thanks. We’ve been off the road since Nov 2022 and have moved back into sticks and bricks. We hope to get some RVing in this season, but won’t be going back full-time. Thanks for watching.
This was a great video. I loved your helpful checklist to follow along on the side. Overall a great presentation for everything to consider being a camp host. Thanks for making this!
How do you do with emergencies like injuries , How do you keep the peace, is there rules for noise after a certain time? Do you need to call the police in some cases?
We always tried to camp where there was cellphone coverage just in case of an emergency. If you aren't in cell range, know where you need to drive to get a signal. Also, we always traveled with a first aid kit for emergencies. If you're at a campground and you have any concerns notify the camp host immediately. If it's an emergency call 911. Thanks for watching and happy camping. 👍🏼
You gained a subscriber at 9:54 when you kept it real. I love you all😂😂😂. So informative, so enjoyable to watch. Thank you for the honesty, and I can't wait to watch more. Happy travels.❤
Another trick- if you have kite string/twine- is to tie a loose loop in the ring, and tie the other end to a shower rod, of somewhere it won’t fall in. Then, if you have bad arthritis and you let go the ring, it doesn’t fall in. Then, make the loop the last section you tuck in. Cut inside the loose loop, and just pull it out. Anyway, it saved me.
Just happened on your video. Great information. Question: I've always noticed that there are multiple camp hosts at each camp. If there are a lot of sites to clean is that split up between the different sets of hosts?
Hey Guys, great video!!!! The wife and I are going to start our retirement travels in a couple of months - this video was a wealth of information for us. What is your opinion on pepper sprays? What are some of the better ones?
