I know what its like to be bullied. I was bullied my whole childhood in all the schools I went to. I had to be taken out of school at 15 because I was being threatened with violence and I had to be chaperoned to take my exams which didn't go too well cos I wasn't very good at most subjects.
The episode reminds me a lot of “The Thing.” Trapped in a near inhospitable environment with an unknown creature that can possess, takeover, and replicate a person. The paranoia of not knowing who is truly the entity and the hysteria as the humans turn against themselves while the entity doesn’t actually do much themselves.
2017 had to be the most depressing, dreary year for EastEnders. It only got better when John Yorke took over in 2018 and Kat Jean and Big Mo came back.
All of ur casualty deaths (updated) are absolute bs because charlie, ethan, dylan, zoe and many others left the show peacefully if they didn't leave (only dylan currently stays)

This episode terrified me when I first saw it and it still scares me now as an adult. I have a phobia against sudden loud banging noises. I used to have this neighbour who hated me and would always bang on my bedroom wall telling me to be quiet and even when I do she kept on doing it and I always ended up crying on the floor holding my ears closed. So I completely understand Sky’s reaction. That could’ve been me if I were in her situation honestly
I highly suspect that this scene is partly a reference to the 1963 horror film The Haunting. The banging on the walls and doors is very reminiscent of a scene from the film, and Sky’s belief that the entity is specifically after her is similar to the protagonist of the movie’s belief that the ghosts want her. Plus, Sky just went through a breakup with another woman, similar to the character of Theo from the movie who is all but stated to be a lesbian.
I've watched this episode over 40 odd times, and each time I see this scene, I try to use my imagination (Like most of us) to try and figure out what this thing looks like when it's moving around the vehicle. The worst part is it's goddamn speed, when the mechanic said he saw it "running", that must've been like 2 minutes before the knocking began.. And from where the mechanic WAS pointing, it looked like it was MILES away. The most accurate description of the creature I can think of is that it's a dark figure, like a humanoid design that has two bloodshot eyes, and that the banging isn't "banging", it's punching it's way into the vehicle.
It's a shadowy creature, living on a planet that is ridiculously bright. It reacts to every sound made by the passengers, and only moved each time the mechanic spoke. Same with the knocking. It only knocked the ship when a passenger spoke, even on the first knock. It is likely that it only moves as a response to sound, and moves possibly at the speed of light/dark. It also seemed like the people got more frantic and panicked according to their distance from the creature. The mechanic was the first to notice the creature, and the closest to it, so he panicked first. Then once the doctor returned to his seat, the entire crew started getting agitated for no apparent reason. It wasnt knocking the ship. It was responding to sound and absorbing it. It affected those who spoke the loudest, amplified their emotions, and absorbed it. The quietest people were the ones least affected by the creature.
I love that it acts like a wild animal, getting on top and banging on it to see if it's hollow Perhaps that's all it was, a wild animal that saw something new and wanted to investigated And then perhaps the Reason it possessed Sky wasn't that she was most scared like jeffro suggests perhaps it was simply because she was loudest, screaming her head off
@@Theseamus2000 Maybe it was a result of the monster trying to get in, like as it was trying to force it's way in it resulted in the driver compartment being ripped off. Whether it was intentional or not is what I wonder.
If I recall, the entity can make people aggressive by somewhat controlling their emotions. It’s in the monster files about this episode, which clarifies why the passengers start to turn against each other and the doctor.
