I like to add a tincture of almond extract and a tiny pinch of nutmeg to the berries. Nadine at The Farmhouse Bakery makes super delicious homemade, baked goods. Her thick pie crust is amazing, but her Orange buns and oatmeal cookies are my absolute faves! Thanks for sharing.

Blended chia is more bio available… lots of unnecessary steps in his recipe. I’m a big fan though;)

I just came to say the same thing so I'm just boosting your comment with my like and comment. Chia should blended to as fine as possible for absorption and soaked longer. Flax seed should be baked in an oven or a pan but you have to make sure it doesn't dry out. It must be moist until you finish processing it. You can also soak them in water or a nut milk whole (they shouldn't swim around), then put them in the oven with either a plate or sheet of water or the appropriate seeing to provide a humid atmosphere. Then ground the treated seeds. Or just use properly premade flaxseed flakes.
@agingintobeauty
@agingintobeauty Месяц назад
You didn’t mention that it’s completely redundant to start with ground nuts when you’re blending everything in a blender 😕
@TheFoodExplorerPodcast
@TheFoodExplorerPodcast Месяц назад
You are correct! I was thinking about a few things after making the video but I didn't even think about being able to omit that step if you're using a high speed blender. Great catch!

Keep in mind BJ at al. change the recipe all the time. This week his son and him also used carrots in it. They are base recipes. Change them slightly from week to change variety and to accomodate your needs. Eating the same food recipes every day for years is nice. Eating them without the smallest amount of change for years on end is just stupid. There are seasons and your body and lifestyle changes for example.
@TheFoodExplorerPodcast
@TheFoodExplorerPodcast 28 дней назад
@@4124V4TA-SNPCA-x - they totally do change the recipe as he does more metrics on his body. Thanks for all your comments - and yes variety is important as we definitely need different things in our diets seasonally ;-)
@4124V4TA-SNPCA-x
@4124V4TA-SNPCA-x 28 дней назад
@@TheFoodExplorerPodcast Not only that. They do it virtually weekly. Look at his recent post about his son, lame-name preps food for his well in dorm. He puts carrots and other stuff to the veggie mix. Bj also said he spices up buddy pudding with various ingredient substitution. For example I'd suggest mix berry ingredients between blueberry, strawberry, Cranberry, Blackberry, Blackthorn and jostaberry in a weekly rotation. Add banana sometimes. You want different colors and taste profiles since they are caused by different powerful antioxidants. Also different micro and macronutrient and vitamin compositions. I suggest if you are woman, add marsh/swamp cranberry, cranberry or both, especially marsh cranberries starting 2days before your period starts until it ends. They, especially the former two contain extremely high amount of organic iron forms in a food matrix with super good absorption and useful antioxidants. Helps with blood production and decreases cramps at the same time! Just my 2 cents. (I have relevant academic scientific background. OFC anyone can say that in a yt comment but whatever.)
