I am on a mission to unite and empower the body of Christ by creating worship that fosters personal encounters with God. As a dedicated worship leader, I seek to reveal the God behind the songs, ensuring that my greatest desire-to see God glorified-is reflected not only in my singing but also in my daily life.

He is pointing out the problem, which is "singing your favorite worship song and exciting your soul", but in reality, you never meet with God because true worship is not about the song, the hype, or the feeling, but it is about a genuine connection between our hearts and God's.
I feel there are some songs that directly praise God and some songs that indirectly praise God. The song "I will pray, if I don't pray...." is indirectly praising God because the singer is acknowledging that God is the only one who can answer his prayer and that he needs God for protection from the enemy. A more direct praise will be if the singer said, "God, you are my protector, I need you, without you, I'm vulnerable to the enemy"
It’s also important to differentiate between songs meant for corporate worship and those for personal devotion. Some songs, while powerful, might not be suitable for a congregational setting because their depth and meaning are best appreciated in personal worship. Chanting, as Pastor Damina mentions, is another aspect to consider. While repetitive singing can enhance worship and help us focus, it should never replace genuine, heartfelt worship. It’s about leading with revelation and ensuring our worship is always directed towards God.
Exactly Sis, your private, closet time of worship is definitely not for public hearing or viewing. I can’t even begin to fathom… 😢 May God have mercy on us. She is clearly overtaken by Carnality(putting it mildly).
Context might help, but going on what we see here, which appears to be a worship service and someone leading... I tried to ask myself if this could be a "Song of Solomon" kind of thing, using human love to understand God's love. And, if I am being VERY generous, I could say that might be what this person was attempting to say. But, at least in this very short clip, it comes off as a love of self and pleasure, not focused on God. That's the most tactful interpretation I can share.
For those aspiring to be worship leaders, please take note: this is NOT the way to do it. True worship should reflect what we do in our personal time with God. The Holy Spirit should be your guide, not performances like this. Let's discuss this further-what are your thoughts? How do you feel about this kind of worship leading?
