That was the best landing I've seen on the MD-11 so far. On a heavy wing loading plane like this, keeping the power in during flare is critical for smooth touchdowns.
Nobody mentions a big problem with Addon-linker. If you can't choose the path for updates, it will always install into the original community-folder and can cause mismatch. Also, the addon has to be moved to the addon linker folder every time.
Hey Cap love the stream, KONT is my home airport. Should try doing UPS Ops when we got the santa ana wind events causing reverse take off and landing ops. Great challenge for landing in those winds for sure.
Hi Captain, have a question about Addon Linker: Can it be used to put your community folder items in a separate folder within the same drive? Or is that pointless because the whole idea is to get it out of the current drive and into an alternate drive?

Hello Cap! I really don't want to be the thousandth "expert" to give any tips or hints about the stuttering, but I can well remember that something similar has happened before. The longer a flight went on, the more unstable the simulator became. In the meantime, there were no good long haul airplanes. Maybe that's why it was never really noticed? In any case, I find it difficult to think that it could be due to the 777. Have similar phenomena also been reported with a 747? That would also be interesting. See you soon.
Cptn, what do you set your NVIDIA cache size to? Video card Default or a specific number of gigabytes? Good job today despite those micro stutters. I hope you or PMDG find the solution. Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see if your MD-11 does the same thing tomorrow. Hopefully not.
What a buttery & beautiful landing!!! Is that with Autothrottle all the way to the ground or manual? I'm unsure what procedure to follow since I'm used to the A320 FBW.
Capt! So great to see that you finally broke into the triple 7!! I wanna first say I agree with the sounds complaint like it’s too stupid to complain over that when we know PMDG will find an update to get the sounds tweaked! I never use ftsim sounds on the 737 because the sounds were recorded on real 737s so the odds are the sounds come from a real 777 but I think it’s a little far distance they must’ve set the audio microphones in the cabin, other than that, this is such a spot on aircraft! If they can fix the sounds they would be perfect which I think they will cus they listen to the community ofc, the handling on that plane is the best heavy aircraft I’ve flown the past two days! Just an outstanding aircraft that will never disappoint you what get out of $77. The sounds is the only thing that needs a tweaking it’s not that bad but it does need a touch up a little. Do u know if the TFDI MD11 will come to the marketplace m?? I mean I’m not gonna get until it’s on a discount.
Hey Cap, I agree with the stutters when flying the 777. I noticed it right away coming from the super smooth 737. Hopefully they can further optimise it with the next few updates
Hey cap, I’ve had the PMDG 737-800 for about a year now, and I love it. I always fly WestJet with it, but I feel like now is the time to almost get another good airliner. I was thinking about getting the 737-700 because I would like to do some WestJet ops with it, but I’m just wondering if you think it’s worth it. I know that all PMDG 737s are the same; they’re just either longer or smaller. I’m just saying, do you think it would be worth it, or should I just wait until PMDG releases their 737-Max?
Man the sounds of the engine inside the cockpit are too loud and unrealistic. Overall I think the engine sounds are off. I’ll buy if PMDG ever get this fixed or if somebody comes out with a better sound mod
