Love travel? Hate doing the research? Wish there was someone who has already done all the hard work? I have! Sharing all my tips and tricks to make your vacation badass.
Great video! My wife and I are planning a trip for next spring. I was wondering if you ran into any issues with the anti tourism protests? Was there any negative vibes from locals? We have been seeing so many things come out lately about this in Spain.
Glad you enjoyed the video! You must be so excited for your trip next spring. I didn’t run into any protests when I was there and found the locals to be friendly. I think it’s also about being mindful & respecting the culture. A warm smile & being courteous while travelling can go a long way. 😉
Nice overview. I was there in May and it rained all day on May 1st, so I was afraid I'd get rained on at the Alhambra the next day, but it cleared up nicely. My underrated gem in town was the Lorca museum, but you have to be familiar with his works to enjoy it.
The temperature would have been nice in May, a lot cooler than July. 😄 That’s great to hear the rain cleared up the day you went to the Alhambra. Thank you for the tip, will have to check it out next time I’m in Granada! 🇪🇸
Finally! Someone doing a carryon only video who is realistic! Very practical. Could be more minimal but for people who are struggling to carryon only, it's a good start FYI: RU-vid isn't letting me like this video. You may want to look into this. Happens every now and then, and as a creator of good content you deserve more likes
Hi Susie, so glad you found the video helpful! I honestly use these tips when I travel! I even find myself still bringing a couple extra pieces that I could have done without. I end up re-wearing shorts for summer trips & sweaters for winter trips. That’s very strange it won’t let you like the video. I checked the settings on the back end and everything is set up as normal. Perhaps it was a glitched?
@@SophiesTravelSecrets yup, I think we all are, at least tempted, to do that. You get the bag packed and you think: I could fit this in too. But I've found, giving in to that temptation, usually results in an unused item of clothing 😏 And yes, I think it must have been glitching as there were a few other videos I wanted to like that day and wasn't able to. Have been able to fix today (But I have seen some videos where I wanted to like and couldn't and they had no likes despite millions of views. Don't believe that so now I don't trust YT to do the right thing)
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed the video. The drone footage is actually stock footage from Story Blocks. Really helps me with supplemental footage to tell the story to my viewers.
@@SophiesTravelSecretsappreciate your prompt response. Great info and idea of stock footage , thanks again for sharing. Subbing your channel… cheers from Toronto
thanks for this! i'll have to ponder the hiring a skipper part of your advice. the main issue i see is that then we need a bigger boat because there's an extra person, and also now we can't be 100% ourselves bc we have to "behave" in front of a stranger. but you make good points.
You're so welcome Rachel. This is one of my old videos but there are a LOT of useful tips on here. My editing has improved since then lol. You 100% want a skipper. They've probably seen it all so feel free to enjoy as you wish, just be respectful. Sometimes, you have to get going early in the AM due to the tides so I suspect there will be some quiet nights lol. ;) Are you heading Croatia soon??
@@SophiesTravelSecrets we decided to postpone our trip until one person in our group could get all the certifications and be the skipper! this person is already a boat expert, they just need the certs. no matter who is driving the boat (them or a professional skipper) i will be coasting with my feet up!
First time traveler and this helped so much. I'm only traveling 5 days max, but I was stressing out since it's literally my first time traveling and years since I traveled through an airplane. Last and first time I got in an airplane was a small one I was 14, it's been about 10 years since then. My husband and I are traveling to Washington over the summer and heading to three different cities, one of them being Seattle. My husband was asking me if we needed to bring a raincoat or something, and I told him I'm not sure. Definitely need to look into the weather and do my research on summer weather for Washington specifically the areas we'll be in for those 4 days.
@@Susanarylanderyou can do better than that. I suggest laundry sheets. Much lighter and more compact than a bar of soap (especially if you can get an idea of how many times you'll need to handwash while away). When drying a shirt I always hope the hotel will have hangers that can be removed from the closet. So much better to drip dry on a hanger - better shape, no need to iron. But tossing over shower rail works too (especially if you place it over a clean towel. And don't forget to wring it dry wrapped in a towel before you hang it up - fast tracks drying time)
Outstanding!! I’m thrilled for this second part for you trip to Dubai!! Love this terrific history, amazing info and hands on fab helpful tips!! Be well! I’m not great at negotiating!! lol!
How times have changed in only a couple of years. I flew this exact flight a couple of days ago, terminal 7 was packed. The plane was full and no testing or wearing masks. Awesome review Sophie. Are you still in Australia?
Sorry, I don't have the option to offer downloads but I suggest you write one out for yourself and keep it on your computer. One you make your own master you can keep adding to it as what you pack is relative to you. ;)
Lol,.. people are like sheep , following the herd, just because there long Q, or some angmoh chef said this is good, then u think it's good, TTCR is worst n most over-rated n least authentic, besides curt service, trust me,there are other better CR stalls nearby, which served you free soup, achar, Ginger n chilli... Thanks for visiting n safe travels
