Hi with 2001 gtx di seized engine its apart casing are in good condition now I'm wondering the cost of the complete list of parts and where to buy from any tips and maybe an over all cost of crank,rods gaskets and so on that I'll need to rebuild my engine $ ??
They sell specific shims to align the pump and are very very thin - way thinner than the washers you used in order to fine tune. You’re right to align the pump to hull and then pump to engine
Quick question for you. What did you do to the block did you hone it or anything like that? The crank did you cut it down or did you just have it polished?
The center cab mounts made of rubber are not a problem and don't need replacing unless you can't remove them like was shown in this video. If you can't separate any mounts then put on safety glasses, thread in the bolt into the stuck mount from the direction you removed it, then raise the body to apply pressure and hammer on the bolt head, they pop apart easily. The step rail on the cab is designed to support a person, not the cab. Lift on the cab directly with a 4x4 or similar. The step rails bolts can sheer and drop the cab on you when your hands are in a bad place. While pricey these are the better mounts to use, you could spend 20% of this cost and get mounts that will ride stiffer and may have loud squeaking noises, but anything is better than the factory mounts when they deteriorate.

Those turbo pipes aren't any good either way, might as well cut them. Someone who is doing this job will buy new ones anyway. There known to crack or break
Where are you located? I need that template for the infinite baffle panel!!.. (I have an E60 535i... non-fold-down seats... I've already cut a pass-through, and I want to do two 15" infinite baffle)
Overall how difficult would you say this rebuild is? I've rebuilt motors for skidoos, but never a diesel motor, let alone something this big. I have a 2000 24v 5.9l cummins and was considering doing the same thing.
I'm on my 2nd RXDI rebuild. I just went through your videos and found an error in my last build which I was able to correct and my ski is running very well now. These videos are good quality visually and don't have annoying background music. I especially appreciate the way you clean your parts. Im kind of a freak about a clean hull. I'd like to gut my 2nd RXDI down the hull and power wash it, but cooler heads have prevailed as I don't want to disturbed 20+ yr old connections :) -- anyway this series is absolutely amazing and has helped me a TON!
I've seen 2 of your videos now and they both just end suddenly before the install is complete.. WTF? Its like you gave up making the video part way through the install and just published the video anyway... Thumbs down.. lame.
