for the first i saw you, and thought you are a girl beacause of the hair and thumbnail, and when i clicked thinking oh a female guitarists i got to know that you are a man
SFU has always sucked, and tbh, Chris Barnes has always kind of been a trash vocalist. The only reason he's considered legendary for his CC output is because the pool of Death Metal vocalists at that time was much, much smaller.
Would love one of these with mini humbuckers. The Super 80 pickups are great, but the Iceman shape always reminds me of the Firebird so it would be cool to have a mini humbucker version as an option.
Dude. It’s funny, I’m a graphic designer and I zoomed in on your sweatshirt and the design on your sweatshirt was “relic’d” to look beat up and worn out. There are a lot of ways to do it and it’s so common we don’t even notice anymore but essentially you create a design or artwork on the computer that is all clean (because it was done on the computer) but then add grainy textures, distress it with different custom erasers and brushes to make it look like an old college t shirt that’s been through the wash 2,000 times and is starting to fade . Obviously say this lightheartedly, just thought it was funny.
I bought a Hard luck king wild bill in a pawn shop .. 100 bucks awesome neck crap pick-ups pods everything Asian.. Replaced pods, wire pick-ups input tuning key , Fret Job , Set the strings to my preference, the guitar plays incredible sounds great now ..
This is great news. I am no longer able to play a 25.5" scale guitar comfortably anymore, and 24" is just a tiny bit to small. This now makes Gibsons available to me. I can't stand tuning problems and hate that crazy broken headstock concern. Also, this might fix SG neck dive problems too.
Thanks for making this video. Because of you, I found this band. They are hard as f*ck and I just added a new band to the favorite's list. Thanks again!!
Discovered these guys when they came out with the Inspire EP. At that time I was looking for everything in the realm of instrumental realm of Aaron Marshall and also the early albums of Erra. Crazy to me to think that I was looking at all this stuff 12 years ago and a lot of it has blown up since then.
I once made a failed attempt to make a plugin to convert a monophonic signal chain into midi, and it sort of worked - just not as good as I wanted it to, and then I saw you can do the same thing in Reaper, just use the reatune plugin, route it's output to another track having a soft instrument and mute the reatune track. It's a free midi guitar for anyone, just monophonic though.
Wasn't there also another drummer, Romain Goulon or something, I always thought he played for/with them for at least some time? edit: nvm, they mentioned him^^
Guitar players follow trends like crazy! Being 46 years young i am old enough to have seen this myself. When i was young if anyone bought a guitar the very first thing they wanted was a floyd rose double locking tremolo! It was a deal breaker if it didnt have one! You would be laughed out of the room at best. Everyone wanted to be able to stay in tune. Now i guess the trend has become , i like my weird tunings and it takes me ten minutes on my double locking tremolo to get in drop d tuning. Because my jackson floyd rose works great for what its for using the wammy bar and returning to tuned it does that great! So everyones just doesnt like that it takes a minute to change tuning right? If you play hard rock or metal music jackson and BC Rich are iconic.
Part of the reason Gibson Guitars cost so much is that it takes approximately one month to make one guitar . They are finished with multiple coats of Nitro Cellulose lacquer . It needs 24hrs between coats and have to be sanded between each coat. Also they are made by American labor in the US where the cost of living is higher then in china or other places in the far east
That is a beautiful guitar ... but there is some weird visual dissonance going on seeing a very tele based headstock on a body that is very clearly drawing hefty inspiration from a Les Paul, and I kind of like it.
It's kinda sad. They went from having dozens of featured artists, countless signature instruments, and impressive catalogue of guitars to selling Strat copycats and Nuno Bettencourt guitars.
My personal opinion, I don't think every song needs a solo. I'd rather have less solo's that are of higher quality, and intended to be in the song, rather than shoved in there because it's expected. Edit: Regarding liking Sabaton ... yes, I'm a nerd.
I'm no professional but the Affinity Series™ Stratocaster® HSS Pack on Fender's website looks way better for a beginner. It's essentially what I've used for like 2 months and it's great.
Even though classically the Iceman is associated with Paul Stanley, because I got started with guitar in the early 2000's, I've always see Daron Malakian's face next to them, and will always associate them with him.
