This is cool but can I be real? Way too much camera shake. I would actually prefer no camera shake. I’ve been seeing this problem with a lot of indie cg creators so just want to share some advice. Unless the cg shot is rendered in the style of a small, light, handheld camera that is actually being held by a person (balancing on top of a round rock or something?), camera shake like this doesn’t make sense. Especially when its the same style of motion across all shots, even panning drone shots or shots that would be shot on a stabilized arm / car / slider for a real movie, it just breaks the immersion and ruins the ability to zone into the scene. Every detail I look at is wobbling around, and my brain is subconsciously telling me this is the same exact motion happening constantly, or at least the same level/style of motion. That’s very uncanny. Masterpiece movies don’t use camera shake like this. They often have tons of perfectly smooth shots, or real, unique, short, camera shake. There is something to be said about the viewer going god mode to absorb a scene rather than constant camera shake… like why would a drone or camera slider or even handheld shot be wobbling in a constant rounded star pattern. I know as a cg artist the goal might be to use tricks to sell realism but constant camera shake like this ain’t it. I bet if you take it out this video would be way nicer to watch and more realistic. 😎👍
if I, I will modeling everything in SketchUp, then throw all build model into Houdini, then I will download 3D plan model separate then apply motion wind or cloth flow effect to plan...then render it in Houdini....it look more alive
