Ratkovo (Parabutsch before WW2) was populated mostly by Germans but there were a lot of Serbs and some Jews as well. The Germans helped the Serbs in WW1 and vice versa in WW2, so I don't think that there was much ethnic tension between Germans and Serbs in Ratkovo at the time of the war. Also, the people who came to Ratkovo in place of the Germans did not have much of a hatred for Germans as they left the names of old owners on the old houses. There is a German-Serbian ethno museum there as well.
Although we Serbs are extremely thankful for what you and many other foreign people are doing to get us noticed in a positive light I have to say that we Serbs have to get off our asses and and push Serbia ourselves to the world. The world of course is not just the west but much larger and bigger!
I grew up in Fairbury, but work overseas. I've learned to articulate way more over the years, but when I relax back into the accent they can't a damn thing I say at work 😅

HeyHey Charles, I have been in this hotel every time I arrive in Belgrade. It's an excellent hotel, where students visit fir school workshop classes. The food, service is 5 stars and much.tastier than many many NYC hotels Cone on, maybe if you don't enjoy, maybe time has come fro you to go back to Chicago. How is that.
