My latest videos feature quiet, laid back building & painting footage with no background music with added subtitles elaborating on the building & painting processes.
Footage takes place in either my 'man shed' or a 'room' somewhere in South Devon, U.K.

One of Tamiya’s best kits, the engineering is flawless and is a pleasure to build almost no effort in putting it together, excellent model for beginners also.
@@pfsmodellingprojects hello mr. Pfs.i have an activator to apply with an brush. It easy to apply.i definatly have2check out that spray activator. with sticky greetings from Brandenburg germany.yours truly.your modellmate.christian
@@stephenashley8431 The lower to upper hull isn't a great fit, once its in position I then put an elastic bands around mine to hold it together and ran super glue around the joints. Don't worry about large gaps underneath, just make sure the upper hull is sitting flush with both the front and rear bulkheads.
What an absolutely fantastic build really appreciate you're time and I'll definitely have a go at this kit it looks amazing on the plinth and the brass plaque .
Setting solutions go on under the deal, solvents go on top. I avoid using Tamiya decals, they are usually crap but applying a rag on top dampened with hot water helps.
Great job explaining this little quirks of this kit. I just picked this one up, and it will be my first Military kit. I'm actually looking forward to the build, and your video will assure good results. Thanks
You need to fit it 50-50 with their thinner and it'll work perfectly and you're gonna have to do very light layers and do about five or six. I've done eight models with this aluminum never had a problem.
Mate Genius.!..Such a simple and effective methods..I’ve watched a good few diorama videos and what you created looks one of the very best I’ve seen on U-Tube..No model manufactures products but some static grass..Finally,,I’ve found a method I can try.!. Thank you and all the best.!👍
I don't post links, just do a search on Amazon for magnifying glasses the type I use are a chinese generic product sold under different brands and vary in price quite considerably, so find the cheapest. Thanks for watching
Airfix are not meant for serious model makers. They are beginners kits with a following that is garnered mostly by nostalgia than a belief in their worth. I've made a few of these 1/35th and not one has had a body that did not need work before it went together. Perhaps I have a different purpose to you. I'm not doing them for money or views, no one is going to see them. I just enjoy all the fettling. If it doesn't quite look right, then I'll do better next time. I'm just getting back into the hobby. NB This one is not the worst, try the Tiger I with the full interior. The turret basket on that is a nightmare. But the fun I had ...
It's an Academy kit but Airfix have endorsed this product to be sold under their brand so they should be accountable for the quality. My channels purpose is to try and inspire people to take up this hobby and to pass on honest reviews of products. I have no interest in monetising my content but views are important to me. Thanks for watching.
Enjoy your builds - don’t blame you on this one at all - I didn’t finish this one either and for the same reasons - you’re doing a great favor for many others- take care
I bought an inexpensive Nutmeg grater off a well known internet auction site. It produces the perfect powder and doesn’t make as much mess as scraping with a sharp blade
Color depends on the time/place.... Lighter blue-gray (Model Master made a pretty close approximation), seems to be mostly early-on in the war, the lighter blue-gray, seems to have had a very light gray beneath, but it could have been white-or-near-white. later- war, the color scheme (mostly starting with the Hellcat, but who's to say Wildcats didn't have them) was dark sea blue, over medium blue, over white, later superseded by overall dark sea blue (late war) upper and lower my 2 cents worth after decades of following this.... ATLANTIC versions were a sort of very light medium gray over white or very light gray.... hope its helpful...
I using your video as tutorial and it helpful btw can you making a panther A model 35065? This panther is my first model and some of part l did wrong i guess
Thanks for watching and using my video as a guide to building your own. I have built a panther off camera but I might consider videoing the building of another one. Best of luck with your Tiger it's a great kit..
Nice work! The kits came out in both motorised and non-motorised versions in the 70s. Although the motors could be purchased seperately - made by Mabuchi, the gearbox and electricals were not sold seperately. The motorised kits (usually) had full colour painted artwork, whilst the static kits had a plain white background. You're absolutely right - they're great fun to build and make the hobby more affordable.
I just Bought this Kit, but am yet to Build it..! So came a Hunting for Pre Build Tips, your site was the First I landed on..! I enjoyed watching your 'Silent Build' and Review once Finished.! Finding some Builders, do tend to Blather on a Tad, ( to fill that Space.) But Thanx for your Review, Sharing of Issues & efforts in producing it..! I just 👍'ed & Subscribed on the Strenght of your Video. Thank you & Cheers from Somewhere Downunder. 🦘🦘
Whoops! I see you initially put the top wing on back-to-front, but next view with decals i see you noticed it and somehow managed to correct it. Now that takes some skill especially with the model virtually finished. Well done.
When scraping with a knife i usually find it better to use the back of the blade' as it's all to easy for the sharp side to dig in, and scraping easily dulls the sharp edge.
Thank you for making the video. I wish I watched it before I bought my ICM kit 😂 it's awful I've managed to put it all together somehow with gaps everywhere. Might just paint it all black and say its night fighter
When you consider it was originally an INPACT kit from the early Sixties that Airfix took tho tooling from ,I think it’s survived pretty well. INPACT also did 1/48 Gladiator Fairey Flycatcher and Bristol Bulldog kits alongside a range of Edwardian Pioneer aircraft such as Bristol Boxkite, Bleriot 11 and Avro Triplane. They are all on my shelf and build into nice models.
No swastika as bloody usual. I stopped building German aircraft because they didn't supply swastikas. Purchased my own but why create history in denial
