When you generate the Beam Envelope for the entire beam, specifically looking at the moments (BMD), how do you invert the diagram to plot negative on top?

Kizito, nice presentation. When you have reversal of stresses in a truss due to wind, how do you take care of the effective length of the bottom chord which is usually not restrained laterally with purlins like the top chord?

Hi Martin, you can re-arrange internal truss members to reduce effective length along the truss. In the perpendicular direction you can use members running from truss to truss to brace the bottom chord, similar to what you do for the top chord. sometimes ceiling members can do this but all depends on details
