Do you think they could also be glued to the top of the keycaps? Or would that not work, because of the curve? I'm thinking of putting the waterslides on top, and then coating the keycap with a layer of transparent ... something ... on top in order to fix them in place and protect them from damage..
What made you discard options like Goblin Techkeys? Until I came across your video, I was pretty sure it was the best option. Maybe wanting specific keycaps or precision lateral print? Hi YOHON!. This video was very encouraging for me. The idea was really successful. So I decided to try my own project. It was a very difficult process. I spent about a week and finally got a pretty good result.
I tried it out, these are still removable after being applied. For darker keycaps, you will need an opaque waterslide decal paper and more precise cut.
