I was booting up linux mint from the usb and it worked it use to detect my earphones until one day it didn't now it doesn't wanna do it anymore it appears as unplugged does things really breake this easily in Linux? 🤔 Meanwhile i boot up windows and the headphones still are detected Edit: I tried booting it up from my old PC and it works great it has to be a compatibility issue with my laptop sound drivers Wich is a lot worse than I thought 😢 bc I don't wanna mess with the terminal
I use Zorin OS, and there is no video showing the problem I'm experiencing, when I see something the audio works normally, but out of nowhere it stops and starts making a high-pitched noise and if it's video or music it stops playing.
I've tried all of these things, but nothing worked. The system detects my I interface/soundcard, but I too, get the "Dummy" card message. Erased partition and went back to win11. 😂
Thank you for the video, but nothing helped for me. I searched further and found the following solution that helped immediately for my Mint Distribution. Open Terminal and enter the following command: sudo nano /etc/sysctl.conf If not present, set the following variable with a value. Simply at the end of the file: vm.swappiness=10 You can try values from 1 to 10. But do not set the value to 0. The standard setting in my case was 60. You can check the current value with the command: cat /proc/sys/vm/swappiness Reboot the system after configuration! This solution worked for me. Mouse and Keyboard freezes are gone. RU-vid freezes are gone too. I hope it helps someone.
Hi tabula is crashing again and again in my jupyter notebook , the kernel appears to have died it will restart automatically, anyone else faced this problem?
I have no sound on my Zenbook UX430UQ on 21.3 Mint Cinnamon, Alsamixer says I have a Realtek ALC295 sound card. I went on the Asus Website and it says I installed the latest BIOS, tried to enter a few lines suggested by forums but the best I can get is a few seconds of audio then a quick drop off and back to no sound. Anyone knows what to do?
Best will be to post a question the in LM forum like: forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=283885 and providing more details like: inxi -Fxz and what is the problem with the sound: speakers, headphones, everything . Greetings
Am here looking for a way to fix wipping my downloads folder an boot fwiling my mint install mostly jist need my videos an pictures but not needing to reinstall all my programs is nice too
2:01 This works for me even if I do not Enable 3D acceleration. What did help me in the display settings -> Screen was increasing the amount of Video Memory from 16MB to 50MB. I did have VBoxSVGA selected and Guest Additions installed. Thank you for posting this video.
Insanely complicated. If you followed that you didn't need help. Not your fault, you're trying to help in fact. Linux is just as user unfriendly as it was when I tried it out 8 or so years ago.
Hello, I’m pretty new to Python and Pycharm so whenever I go on the terminal and type up the command, it says ‘sudo’ is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. I am using Windows.
Hey, I've notice that there is a change in the latest updates of cinnamon. It was working great in LM 20. But it started to have problems since 21 for me.
Hey, I wasn't aware for the PyCharm own profilers. Can you share more information about them. The video was created 5 years ago and then I didn't find anything related to it. That's why I've created the video.
Hello Sir I really like your videos ❤, and the way you teach but your pronunciation is a bitter hard which is hard to understand 💔. kindly remake these videos for upcoming Students if possible.
