One of my favorite albums. There is literally not a single song on it that I don't like. "Where the heart lies" is a masterpiece, definitely my favorite of all Maggie's songs. Sometimes I wonder what it would sound like in the key Maggie sang in the 80s, 90s and 00s. But I still love it the way it is. Anyway, I think that Maggie uses this naturally lowering pitch of her voice over time very well. I can't imagine "Break of day" sung in a higher key. Similarly with, for example, "Don't look back" and "Where the rivers run" from the album "Starfield". By the way, a large part of the songs on the album "Past, present, future" proves that she can still sing in quite a high key - while listening to "Enchantment" I honestly wondered if she had not recorded this song in the 90s - her voice sounds identical on this recording like in those years. Coming back to this album - in my opinion, a masterpiece. Last year, my grandmother died, whom I took care of when she was sick, with whom I lived all my life and whom I miss very much - at that time I listened to "Fare thee well" very often. This song perfectly shows the longing and thoughts that accompany a person in such a situation. It's a beautiful song and evokes a lot of emotions. I could literally describe my feelings about every song on this album, but unfortunately time does not allow me, haha :D All I can say is that it's definitely worth listening to, each song is different and triggers different emotions - one is happy, the other is sad, another is mysterious, another is dark. I'm glad I have an autograph on this album. :D
isn’t it nice to see a woman not playing victim? She was correct, it wasn’t the thing to do then & we all knew it was a woman singing. If it wasn’t for Mike writing the song, she wouldn’t be !!
Kocham tą Panią, 30 lat temu kiedy byłem dwudziestolatkiem to właśnie ona i jej muzyka tworzyły ten piękny nastrój , tą lirykę, wrażliwość. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love from Myanmar.I listened this song 20 years ago (when I was a teen) in an album of greatest hits bought at a music album shop in my country. Love it and her voice is almost the same as in the original song
impressionnant de voir a quel point sa voix ne colle pas a son physique et est toujours aussi agreable a ecouter, entendue des centaines de fois et fan depuis 40 ans de Mike! Coucou de la france.
As a young boy, I used to have crush on you (around Moon Light Shadow era, I was 11). It is nice to catch an interview and you having a channel here. Your voice is heavenly. Adele is great but you still are my favourite, voice wise. Thank you for this beautiful music throughout the years, and thank Mike Oldfield.
I literally just found out a moment ago that this is a Mike Oldfield. And as 10 year old I thought she sang: "Moonlight Shuttle" because the space shuttle was the next important thing in my life next to music :D And I sang it outside and my neighbour (6 years older) explained to me that it was a Moonlight Shadow. Oooooh.... Suddenly the darkness in the video made sense to me :D Oh man 41 years later and it still warms my heart this song does. Thanks Maggie and Mike!
I heard so much Songs, knowing about 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, After 2000. Knowing all about the Pop from this Times, top 100 of every year of this decades. This is the best Song of All of them.
