Grammy-nominated ensemble Ars Lyrica Houston specializes in music from the Baroque era, the “golden age” of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, as performed on period instruments with careful attention to historical style and context. Founded in Houston in 1998 by harpsichordist and conductor Matthew Dirst and incorporated in 2003 as a 501(c)(3) organization, Ars Lyrica Houston produces a yearly series of concerts that range from intimate chamber programs to staged dramatic works. Reviewers have acclaimed the ensemble for its superlative performances of everything from Monteverdi to Mozart. According to the Houston Chronicle, Ars Lyrica "sets the agenda for imaginative period-instrument programming in Houston."

Really good performance. Just a suggestion. I'm italian and the correct pronunciation for "sati" is "sazi" with the "z" and "topati" is "topazi" with "z". It's derived from latin and in italian satium is "sazio" (full of something) and topati is "topazi" (the gem)! Thank you for you nice performance.
Magnifique ! Dommage pour les longues robes des danseuses , dans les ballets ce qu'on apprécie le plus c'est le mouvement des jambes qui là est masqué .
An amazingly vibrant performance of this fine work... hints of the hunting & rustic motifs clearly audible! A Great Ensemble effort to highlight these elements! Brava Tutti! ;-))
The female lead violinist is very talented and pretty. My granddaughter is learning the violin. I was curious as to when this violinist started learning the violin and wondering how old she is. I can't tell if she's in her 20's or not.
