I love this hobby. From building kits, to scratch building. From painting models to painting scenery. This channel is a reflection of that, with painting tips, building ideas, unboxings and reviews. Don't be confused, this channel was once Carsun's Bazaar - but now it's not a Bazaar, it's just a RU-vid channel about gaming. Tippy Club comes from a wrestling joke between a couple friends and I. In wrestling, there are all kinds of Club - We made one and named it after our great cat. #TippyClub
There was an email from CMON last week about making sure your shipping address was correct, so it's getting towards shipping, just a little behind schedule! Yeah, we'll have to get a game of it when it arrives
Audio & Technical difficulties aside, I enjoyed watching this play out. Looking forward to buying this in 2 weeks but in the meantime I'll start to Print and construct a Jousting layout. Look forward to your next Half Tilt game play. ASAP please, ta...
Yeah, there were some difficulties I had while editing, and it didn't turn out how I had hoped, but it's given me ideas for how to do things in the future. We're planning to do our next game in the next few weeks - mostly to give me a break from that nightmare of editing 😹😹 I really enjoyed playing it. This was my second game (we did a test game the night before recording) and it's pretty easy to pick up the rules. In the next game we're going to introduce the Ploy Cards. Thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment!
@@TippyClub Bored doing my Spreadsheets working from home, so I just listened to your Podcast on Half Tilt... now I've come to wathc this again hahahaha, look foirward to your next Vid especialliy seeing the Ploy Cards in action, Thanks.
I don't understand audio editing 😾 it was fine while editing the video, so it must be something to do with the rendering? I'll try some different settings out and hopefully have it better in future videos. I hope this hasn't put you off watching!

Oh damn, those levels are well off. They sounded okay on my headphones while editing, but on my phone they're not great. Thanks for letting me know! I'll see if I can sort that out because it is distracting. I'm looking forward to showing the game off with Daz and also doing some painting tutorials. There are some good canvases for things like checkerboarding and freehanding symbols that I'm looking forward to showing off!
If I were a player in Birmingham Brawl II and not the TO I'd have done well! Four wins and one lose, not bad for a box team going up against superstars! It was a fantastically close tounrament with just four points seperating the top six players!
I’m still waiting for my King Pledge to arrive, but I’ll definitely use these ideas for the bases. I’ve been really stoked to get to painting the teams. Was the Michael Knight halfling model a limited run or part of the kickstarter by the way?
I backed King Pledge, too. Cannot wait for it to arrive! Micky Squire was the Cyber Monday model TTCombat did last year. Black Friday was the alternate Black Lamp for Carnevale. They have said he'll be playable in Half Tilt, so hopefully he gets another release with the event exclusives.

Ice has 2Gold+1 defence (or 3 silver if you use the updated card). The thrown Gobblin isn't the one doing the attack, the Ork Brawler is so he'd get the Crowd Pleaser for eliminating a wrestler.
@TippyClub I'm defo one for overwhelming force, my 1st edition go-to list was Krux, Trihorn, Shamblefist, Saurus Brawler and Saurus Grappler, they'd all spend the game doing turnbuckle abilities off of Shamblefist. Great fun.
And they've only got better with time, too! Looking at Heavy Pounders and The Headliners, the models are a world apart, but still maintain the look that says they're from the same game. The same goes for the Carnevale models. As the sculptors get more comfortable with the world they're making models for, and the tooling and printing gets better, their models are just going from strength to strength.
The edges on this kit are covered by grey board coverings, so the edges don't really matter. And the spray painting does the sealing with a couple sprays
Hey John, yes, that's right. Prime it on the sprue, and I paint the floor while it's still attached. The walls I did off sprue, but still before I built it up. I'd suggest doing dry-fits often, particularly if you're using washes, just to avoid any swelling. If your kit has the Grey board detailing, paint those on the sprue, too. The edges of them won't matter and will give a nice bit of outlining to the kit. Once everything is painted, or as I did with this kit, when I had finished painting each level, I would then glue the pieces together.
Oops, sorry about that! I usually just duplicate the music and drop it where I need to. It must have been a mistake when I was changing the levels for the outro, and it all went wrong :(
Awesome video, I've been collecting the Streets of Venice for a massive build. I love seeing someone else working on the set and seeing what your ideas are.
You're very welcome! Let me see what you've done with your models, either on Facebook or Instagram. Just search Tippy Club Gaming on them and you'll find me!
The photos you share on the Carnevale page look incredible. I urge anyone interested in making your game board be its own character to check out your stuff. Even the simple additions of sand and clipping some corners for a but of damage before painting adds so much flavour to the building
Oh cool! I've talked to the guy who did Pandinus and Cleo. I really enjoyed painting the Anubis headed model. Love the flowing material on the whole team
@@TippyClub Yeah Ushtabi? If i remember correctly. I really enjoyed sculpting that one, the others not so much. The amount of revisions for the scarab was stupid for how simple it seemed to be haha. Glad you liked it though, nice to see the aftermath of my work, usually once i'm paid up thats it, i dont see much else haha
The Scarab has some excellent texture to it, and when I was at uni, I found the more simple things were horrible to sculpt right (I much more preferred the animating to the sculpting in my course). The Anubis head one is the Anubti Doorkeeper. The Shabti are the zombie like ones. I can imagine they would be a paint to model
@Tippy Club Gaming, Hello, I have a miniature of Chris but unfortunately I lost the survivor's card. Could you send a photo/scan to my email if possible? I will be properly grateful and thank's for the review.
Sorry, Amir, I can't really do that for a paid product. If you email Mantic support I'm sure they'd be happy to help - they helped me with a Martian Judge Dredd stat sheet when I was missing that
Oh nice! That would look cool with Blood Angel armour. The blue tint to the skin would contrast nicely with the red armour. I have a Blood Angel armour video if you wanted to check that out. If you're on Instagram or Facebook, you'll have to let me see how you get on with it! TippyClubGaming on either of them and you'll find me
For a wide variety of realistic skin tones, check out the paints from Howard Hues. For the very darkest, like Salamanders Legion & successors, "Nubian" is an excellent choice for a base.
Thanks for the recommendation! I'll be sure to keep am eye out for them. I've also found that Foundry do some excellent skin tones. I have a triad of Middle East paints which give an excellent olive skin tone. I've been using them a lot for the Mexican inspired models for Rumbleslam
@@TippyClub Howard Hues got their start catering for Ancients and Historics, so they have skin tones ranging from the palest Vikings and Celts to a variety of Mediterranean tones to "Nubian", which works well for Zulus and Drow elves. I think it would work well for "Discovery"-style Klingons, but I haven't tried any. If you use Howard Hues "Geo-Hex Green" paint and Woodland Scenics "Green Blend Fine Turf", you can base your minis to match Geo-Hex tiles and Gamescape mats (now sold by Monday Knight Productions). :)
I am mostly using contrast paint, but also have a few Army paints. I want old burn scars on a giant(it is 3d printet model and there was an error, in the printin procces, on his back, that looks like a burn mark. I am afraid to fuck up the mini so I want to do it right the first time(or very close to right!) How should I do it, to get it right?
For burn scars, I'd suggest painting the skin as normal, then start using a thinned down red on the area, then add patches of just the red for darker spots. Then in areas, gradually bring the normal skin colour back, but perhaps go a bit lighter? When burn scars heal up, the new skin is a lot lighter in some of the photos I just searched on Google. Special Effect makeup tutorials can be really helpful for this effect, too
Been a slow year of painting for me. Some rat ogres and ogre mawtribe characters. A hellpit abomination is the big one for me this year Awesome seeing how much your paintings improved
Nice mate, you’ve got loads done! I’ve painted a 2000 point bonereapers army for AOS, a bit of khorne, some silver tower models, some necromunda terrain, a few stormcast models and loads of undercoating...... Thanks for the shout out 😂😂
Thank you! I think it gives them that cold, bloodless look and helps them stand out from other kinds of undead units. You could use more of a blue/grey for a less stark variant, but sometimes bold is better, haha!
Loved this idea, I may very well be having a try at my own in the future. If I could make a suggestion, when doing the initial paint coat, on that foam it is a good idea to mix Mod Podge with the paint, it will protect the surface from getting chipped. Also could I enquire as to the lights you used for the ring corners. are they made with the 'bulbs' already inside ready to wire up to power source or have you had to make some adjustment to them? Once again, great work sir :)
I'm not too bothered about chipping, really. It is stored on top of a wardrobe and only used at home. The lights are from TTCombat and are ready to connect to a circuit straight away. They only cost a couple pound and are pretty good
@@TippyClub just a thought, I've seen quite a few terrain makers use that process. As long as it works for you then who cares what anyone says eh :). Thanks for the info on the lights I will have a look. Take care
If it was something I'd be moving about to places, I'd definitely seal it with glue, so definitely a good call. TTCombat do more modern lights too, but these gas/oil lamps were just perfect for a loose fantasy theme like with RS. Let me know how you get on with your project
Hey Bunny! I'm still waiting on bunny and cat themed wrestlers, then I can make that stable we talked about 😹 I have these three models all painted up now on my Instagram
Looks really good! Using this for the burnt-to-death guy from this mini: www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Adepticon2020-Nov8-Sisters2dtuyjhrt.jpg
That's a cool mini! Being an Escher player in Necromunda, if I was to start a 40K army it would probably be a Sisters army. Or a Nurgle one, because I could have some fun corrupting models for conversion. But, yeah, this effect will look awesome on that! Let me know how you get on with it on Instagram, TippyClubGaming - would love to see the end result for it
Thanks for the close look. Looking forward to adding these to my collection. Love the new cards, not impressed by the square bases. Models, as usual, impress.
These are definitely some of the most detailed, I'd say. Been putting some paint on Sapphire Fiend this evening, and it takes paint really nice. Just getting the base colours down, but it's quickly getting there. The square bases are a strange move from the round ones that came with everything else, so they'll stand out a little, but the large bases look like they'll be easier to use. The large round bases leave a fair bit of space between them and adjacent squares. But I've got all the models, so don't fancy rebasing them all, and don't want to buy a set of bases, either haha!
nice work Chris- You forgot to raise the threat level at the end of each turn when playing solo. Also make use of the hold nerve to keep threat level down.
I'm not a fan of that rule when playing solo so I just don't do it. I've played a game that lasted only a couple rounds thanks to some bad draws with a Thunderstorm. I ended up just house-ruling it out
