Love your lemon tour . You are making rescuing plants so fun. I just bought a dying citrus plant from homebase and ready to rescue her. You gave me courage. Thank you!
2tbl spoons of Johnson’s baby oil and a few drops of washing up liquid in a 1l spray bottle will deal with them scale insect. Good for mealies too. Make sure u shake vigorously to mix the oil in the water. The washing up liquid will help mix it in 🤟spray everything down . Underneath especially 👍
I bought one of these lemon tree Aldi today, it was dying same as yours and I felt sad for the tree so I bought it to replant and hoping it will grow back to life, thanks for the video
Hi, I have a citrus tree which leaves are wilting. I think I have neglected on watering it for more than a week. It still has its leaves, but the leaves are wilting. I have repotted it into a new pot and it still as good and healthy roots and the branches are still green, so I think it is probably underwatering. Do I need to remove and defoliate the leaves? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.
Over watering is a major problem with citrus in my experience. Also I would use some fish fertilizer and find some citrus food for it. I’m not pro but hope this helps
Lovely post. I've also seen a post to say peppers are perennials, I'm not sure yet if it's bell peppers but apparently you prune them to the bottom Y of the plant but like you I have flowers mine are in October so I'm hoping to protect them to carry on growing. Not t sure how yet, as I do not have a greenhouse but I may try Pruning back some that are healthy and are not in bloom yet to see if I can get an early crop, next year. I plant seeds from recovered fruit for the fun of it rather than being a serious gardener with lots of seed packets sometimes I wonder why 🤣, but I'm still learning and determined to keep doing this.
Hi, i saved my little tree with the help of your last video so thank you! It has a lot of new leaves at the ends, but i was wondering how long it takes for leaves to grow back more at the start of the branch?
Generally the leave will grow back from tiny regrow that up and down the branch. I’d say a year after it comes back to life, it’ll start shooting new leaves up the branch.
What exactly is the reason for blanching anyway? I've always just chopped any extra fresh vegetables, put them in a tub and then put them in the freezer!
I didn’t soak my first batch, but they didn’t germinate, so I soaked the second. They’re dead because they were out in a windowsill. ☹️ It’s ok, I have other runner beans, I just loved that variety.
Hiya Kat. Sorry to hear about your bean disaster. I'm panicking because I haven't even sown any yet, Must do it this weekend. Your writing is better than mine. Have a great weekend. Mags
Lol! I was...as soon as I opened the box!! This was recorded last week and it’s taken until now for me to pull my finger out and get it uploaded. Still got the last bits of cold hanging around me though x
Bloomin heck that was a great bargain. Those stackers are so good at saving space. Do you let your girls out to play? If you do the bottom few layers might get munched. All the best. Mags
Hi great to have found your channel, love garden channels not having an allotment, where abouts are you? Wow love your broccoli, yes I agree such a beautiful plant and yummy of course, totally agree last year I discovered Zinnias and fell deeply truely in love got loads of seeds this year 😍 is the calendula reseeded or a plant from last year? The peach tree blossom is stunning, will you leave the cauliflowers out or do you take them back in the coldframe? Thank you for sharing great video 😁🌹
Hi! It’s great to have you here! I’m in Somerset. I’m so looking forward to zinnias this year, I’m not really one for flowers but I think these really are stunning. The Calendula survived all winter, so I moved it to another spot, it’s doing great! I was going to leave the cauliflowers out but due to the upcoming night temps I’ve brought them back into the polytunnel xx
Do you hear your polytunnel? And if not what is your low it gets to at night? I've just bought one of the walkin greenhouses from Lidl but haven't put a heater in. Hopefully all my seedlings will be ok. Need to prep for the next few freezing nights forecasted.
I don’t heat my polytunnel, heating plants just means they’re ready far too early before they’re able to be planted out. It gets to -1 in there in the cold winters. I’ve closed it up completely now to soak up the heat and retain it as much as I can for the next week or so. I’ve also covered all my tender seedlings. With the heat of the days to come I don’t think the seedlings will suffers too much over night.
@@nkaradogan34 I covered them with propagater lids. Over the next few days the soil should warm up and retain enough heat to see them through the cold snap. That’s my theory anyway 🤷🏻♀️😎
