@@sandwichburger4856 TA I do by tape measure first, then by ear (staging). Phase I do by the nulling method with test tones to get in the ballpark, then I use IR in REW for fine adjustments.
hey man could you do a vid on the two 15s in the trunk? currently trying to figure out trunk IB, i.e do i need to keep my back seats folded down all the time
Prices in USD: Helix P Six: $2000 Helix P One: $1450 Focal TBM tweeters: $2000 pr Focal 3.5WM mids: $1200 pr AD W800Neo midbass: $1600 pr Focal 10WM sub: $1300 Plus wiring, accessories and install... I have no idea what that's going to cost you. Maybe $4-5K for that, so probably around $13-14K all up.
Hi mate, thanks for the video. At what volume levels do you use it more? Comparing to Go Play 2 and Helsinki, was it better at all volume levels? Was Bass comparable to Go Play 2? Thanks.
@@savvasneophytou5664 Absolutely. The Uboom L’s are not in the same class - this a big step up from them. I use it for a few hours per day, and charge it every 3rd or 4th day. Battery life is great.
It would be great to hear some subjective listening impressions in the video. You can't actually tell what a speaker sounds like over youtube. Your microphone, youtube compression, and our own listening device make video "sound demos" basically useless.
Unless you know me and what my frame of reference is, what's the point of knowing my opinion? Go record your current speakers using an iPhone 13 Pro Max, and compare - there's no special mics or anything - this is just shot with an iPhone in my shed.
They are really, really different systems. The Focal Utopia's have *so* much detail, and more dynamics. The Audiofrog are a more laid back and forgiving sound. Both are really good, but I prefer the Focal.
@@BMW1M i had the flax setup old model , in 2way , was very difficult to tune , realy crystal clear , the tweeter is very Sharp and give you all the information, if sound is bad record you know directly lol
He was on a racetrack, and was racing everyone he could. Most cars were faster than the Lambo though (you don’t usually take slow cars to roll racing on a race track)
that front end drop is changing gear, it's an e-gear car. the amount of power doesn't change in the LP Gallardo as there are no modes. It's just slower :)
The front sub plays up to 90Hz, underseat midbass to 250Hz, midrange to 4kHz, and tweeters from 4kHz of course. All using LR4 slopes. Note: Those are the acoustic crossover targets. The actual electrical crossover used varies for every driver.
@@dusanskulavik1878 There were indeed unavoidable dips from destructive interference, but with tuning I was able to make them almost disappear at 1/3rd octave resolution (not 1/12th or higher though), both sides playing. There’s seldom any stereo information at the dip frequencies, so tuning the dips out as a pair, using each to help the other side, works for me..
@@Natalexmoonsun I am using a Helix P Six and a Helix P One. These are both D class amps, and to me the Helix definitely sound better than any other D class amp I've heard. AB class amps will also be comparable, so long as they manage a similar Signal to Noise ratio (108dB or better). The Mosconi Pro 4/30 (class A/AB) is a great sounding amp, but it gets real hot and is low on efficiency. In my car AB is just not viable as I only have space for 1x Lithium battery.
The big hogtalare sounds better than the biggie, it has more treble the biggie seems to be lacking in the mid range and treble, for example I feel the biggie sounds good with a bass reducer, or a treble booster. It’s unfortunate, really hoped morel would have done a bit better tuning or possible an metal type tweeter, ceramic would’ve really made this the best portable speaker, it has the bass but it needs more than that
Haha, I also tried to record the same song and found that the subwoofer was not as powerful and flexible.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Rpurok4DFhs.htmlsi=pT_ILPIIjj13Yilj

After watching your video, I also chose the Utopia M10, but placed it in the trunk. Are you operating in 2 ohms or 8 ohms? Is there a big difference between the rear trunk and the front kicking effect?
I am running mine as a 2 ohm load, using a Helix P One amp, so it's getting 880w RMS. When I first got the 10WM, I had it running in the trunk, using a 0.8cu ft sealed box, corner loaded. in this location, I got substantially more output below 40Hz, and it would play all the way down to 20Hz. Midbass is lacking though (kick) and SQ suffers due to resonances from the car, and the cabin gain effect adding muddiness. In the front, I get wayyy better midbass kick, and the sub is just cleaner sounding all over. But it only plays down to ~35Hz. That's fine for most music though. If you are looking for ultimate SQ, I would definitely recommend mounting it up front.
Have a listen to this video to hear how beautiful the "kick" is in the front location (start at 1:03) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XlQ76TXDaqM.htmlsi=mqg3p7J9C5Ekso7f&t=63
@@BMW1M I am currently running a sealed tank with a capacity of 30 liters. The front may not be that big, so what is your front volume? Can the same effect be achieved if 10TW3 is used in the front?
@@BMW1M Haha.. I tried to record the same song and found that the bass was really different and lacked elasticity and power. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Rpurok4DFhs.html
@@6mtcruiser Yes it is, both cars also using the same Reflex+ port controller. My 1M was very well dialed in at this time - the ST 335i was a new build, so not quite as well dialled in. The 1M is in getting a fully forged motor and a few other upgrades so I can wind it up further. Bigger chops coming soon 😁
Ya I wish I could afford to put these in all my cars. But I like to spend money on performance parts first oneday though I'll get them in my excursion, ram, vw, and subrau lol. Once I heard focal at a shop I always wanted some.
