Awesome as always! Our ducking your stern at A mark while raising the kite was closer than you made it look! You're stepping up your sailing game while maintaining your videographer game! Good job all around this past weekend!
Very cool edit&music. Thanks for the efford. Given the light wind conditions i would have had 2 maybe 3 crew and save 250-300kg and a 5-10% faster F27/28...
For sure…being it was new years day everyone wanted in on the fun. I thought it was going to be the opposite and no one shows because they are all hung over. I should have known that a little hangover wasn’t going to stop a bunch of sailors 😜
If you wanna go to a beach with surf, the Hobies allow you to get past the surf to the big water, and girlies always go to the Hobies…. It’s a matter of how much more attractive the Hobies are, and the number one buying motive for a Hobie is… “Sex and Romance”…. Score!
Epic editing! Love the angle off the back. Very smooth sailing, it’s gonna be fun watching you lap us in the spring! Gen has perfect angle trapezing. I’ll show Laura what she has to do.
None of this would have happened without the genius of Ian Farrier's designs. He started it all with his Farrier folding system that made all these fabulous sailing trimarans so easy to trailer.
Saw you all at RigRun but didn’t get a chance to say hi…my wife Gen and I are doing redfish reach next month. It will be at Texas City Dike if you are in the area. A great group of people there to meet! We are new to racing as well. Hope you can make it out!
Levi, absolutely fired up by this video!!!! You captured this event better than anything I've ever seen. This will get people hooked! This event was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, it's the local cat sailing community, including all the suppliers, BB/BS & TCPW staff, shore and kitchen volunteers that really make this such an outstanding event! We're just the ones that get to have all the fun! @@levimarconette1670
We normally sail at Buchanan. There is a what’s ap group if you want me to add you for updates and invites. Many times there is room to crew and you would certainly be welcome!!! Text me @ 512 673 7848 if interested.
I was watching this years race to Alaska and one of these turtled on the way to Victoria and the crew needed to be rescued. Clearly they picked the wrong boat for an adventure race, but are you able to right the craft at all in a capsize? It seems like it would be a challenge in a trimaran.
I saw the same! I have never turned it over, but watched several videos on righting the boat. Basically you have to flood one of the aka to right the boat and then empty the water as you get back underway. I hope to never have to use that knowledge😜
@@levimarconette1670 We have 10 of these boats in our fleet based at Dubai Offshore Sailing Club. In 12 years we have had 3 capsizes, all in 28 kts (Beaufort 7 ) or above. We were out there racing in those conditions, which the boats love!
